Ali Star (born November 7, 2036) is an American football linebacker for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Ali Star was born in Broken Arrow, OK to Bessie and Angus Star in the early hours of the morning on July 7, 2036. His father was a farmer who inherited his farm from his father. Ali Star grew up on the farm, helping his father wherever he could, however his favorite way to lend a hand was with the cattle. He always felt some sort of special connection to them, almost as if he was one of them. After school each day and after completing his chores, he and his two older brothers would play sports out in the pasture. Their favorite activity was throwing the football to each other and trying to tackle the person holding the ball.

In high school, Ali went out for the football team, he was strong from the hard work on the farm and athletic from playing sports with his brother that he could play almost any position on either side of the ball. In his senior year, he decided to focus on one position that his team desperately needed: Linebacker. He was a natural. By the end of the season, he had 20 sacks, and 5 interceptions and helped lead the Sky High Eagles to a state championship.

College career

After high school, Ali Star was recruited by quite a few Division I colleges, but ultimately decided to sign with the Florida State University Seminoles down in Tallahassee. Coming in as a true freshman, Ali saw very few minutes on the field unless the team was up by a large margin. His sophomore year, most of the upperclassmen Linebackers had either graduated or moved on to the professional leagues. This meant Ali saw copious amounts of play time on the field. As each season went by, Ali became better and better and would spend almost all his free time watching film. In his senior year, Ali would go on the lead the ACC in sacks and tackles for a loss. The Seminoles went on the win the ACC championship against GA Tech. In the college football playoffs, Ali and the Seminoles made it to the championship game only to lose to Auburn. Ali was voted MVP of the team and was also nominated to win the Heisman trophy.

DSFL career

2059

Ali Star was picked up in the first round of waivers by the Minnesota Grey Ducks for Season 44. The Grey Ducks started the season rough going 0-5 before getting their first win against the Seawolves in Week 6. Ali Star was instrumental in that game picking up 13 tackles and 2 sacks. Ali Star would continue leading the defense in the rest of the games for the Grey Ducks while the Grey Ducks offense continued to struggle to put points on the board. The Grey Ducks would go on to end the season with a 5-9 record putting them in third place in the North. Despite the losing record, Ali Star's performance would not go unnoticed. Ali Star was awarded Defensive Rookie of the Year for Season 44! Ali Star would go on to be drafted in the first round of the ISFL draft by the Sarasota Sailfish for Season 45.

2060

Although Ali Star was drafted to the Sarasota Sailfish at the end of Season 44, the general managers decided that he could benefit from another season in the DSFL with the Minnesota Grey Ducks. Ali went into S45 of the DSFL as a fully capped player with 250 TPE. He had a strong season averaging ten tackles and one tackle for loss per game. He would end the season with six sacks, five forced fumbles, one interception, and one safety. Ali Star received four defensive game ball for his stellar performance on the Grey Ducks. Ali Star won the defensive performance of the year for Week 7 at the DSFL Awards ceremony. He was also nominated for and would win the Defensive Player of the Year Award for his Season 45 performance. Despite this accolade and stellar performance throughout the season, he was robbed of a position on the S45 DSFL All-Pro Team.

ISFL career

2061

Ali Star was brought up from the DSFL to the Sarasota Sailfish for the start of season 46. Starting in the LB4 spot, he would see some play in the big leagues but not quite what he was used to seeing while with MIN. He still managed to put up some decent stats for the season with 29 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery. This season was a humbling one for the ISFL rookie as he did not win any awards and did not start in the LB1 position. Ali Star was so excited that his team made it to the playoffs for the Ultimus and was devastated when his team botched the game in the fourth quarter and subsequently threw the game in the first few seconds of overtime. Ali Star is determined to take full advantage of the offseason and come back stronger for S47.
