Season 36
After a successful workout with the Bondi Beach Buccaneers, Yates was signed by the team before the season as an undrafted free agent. In his first ever regular season game in the DSFL Yates went 10/25 with 100 passing yards, picking up one passing touchdown and 1 rushing touchdown. He improved as the season went on and helped lead the team to a 6-8 record which was good enough to make the playoffs. In his first year with the team Yates broke the single game rushing record for Bondi Beach with 219 rushing yards in week 5. He also broke the team record for longest run with an 89 yard touchdown run in week 5 as well. At the end of the season he declared for the ISFL draft.
