Early years
Stetson was born to a loving sports couple in Calgary. His whole family and all his uncles, aunts and cousins were high skill athletes. From hockey to soccer to curling, everyone found some sort of sporting success. But for all that success, no one had ever played high level football. So Stetson decided to go on his own path and change all that. He set records everywhere he went, from peewee all the way to high school, Stetson was one of the best out there. With not many scouts coming up to Canada, Stetson didn't recieve the high end scholarship offers some players get. And he was ok with that. He lead his high school to a championship season in his final year and was labeled a can't miss prospect, but he was going to have to prove that on a smaller stage in Canada. With only 2 major offers, he decided to stay in Alberta and play at the U of A
College career
Starting from day one at wide reciever, Stetson was miles ahead of his peers and competitors. While his team struggled to a 5-7 record, Stetson was amazing catching 78 passes for 1655 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also returned 11 kickoffs for 345 yards and a touchdown. Year two had more promise as the Golden Bears won 7 and lost 5 and qualified for the playoffs for the first time in 26 seasons. They ended up losing to Calgary in the Canada West Final though, even though our star had 9 catches for 201 yards and 2 touchdowns. The regular season was much more productive too as he caught 81 passes for 1900 yards and 15 touchdowns. All Alberta records. In his third and ultimately final season, Stetson led the team to a 9-3 record, catching 90 passes for 2010 yards and 21 touchdowns, this time smashing Canadian University records in all 3 categories. They were set for a Canada West rematch with Calgary and triumphed 31-19 with Steson going 6-144-2. He was named the MVP of the game. Feeling he had accomplished all he could, he declared himself eligible for the DSFL draft
