Zigzag Zipstep (born March 2, 2041) is an American football running back for the London Royals of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Zipstep was born in Bukit Batok, Singapore. His parents, Brandon and Wendy Zipstep, were there to celebrate a wedding of their close friend. At the time, Wendy was seven months pregnant with Zigzag, and during this trip, complications arose in the pregnancy that forced her into labor. Fortunately, neither Zigzag nor Wendy were hurt during the ordeal, and Zigzag ended up a whole and hale baby. Soon thereafter, they returned to Seattle, Washington, where the Zipsteps lived.

Zipstep attended Rainier Beach High School and immediately was drawn to the game of football. At first, he wanted to play defense, and he defaulted to playing linebacker as he was bigger in size than the secondary, yet not big enough to play in the trenches. He achieved mediocre stats that year, and he often looked lost. As he moved onto his sophomore year, he became leaner and faster, and his coach tried him out as a running back. The position fit Zipstep like a glove, and everything seemed to click for him. He wreaked havoc across the field and Rainier Beach managed to make the playoffs. In Zipstep's junior year, he further found his groove, propelling his high school football career to new heights as he tallied a monster 4,152 scrimmage yards and 59 total touchdowns. This stellar season won him the All-State Offensive Player of the Year honors. In his senior year, his stats dipped as most opposing schools decided to stack the box to prohibit his play. Zipstep still managed 3,296 scrimmage yards and 42 total touchdowns for the season.

College career

Ever since Zipstep started high school, he wanted to go to one college and one college only: the University of Akron. And he wanted to go to this school only because their athletic nickname was the Zippers, often shortened to the Zips. Zipstep felt that with his last name, he was destined to attend this university. Zipstep played for the Zips from 2059 to 2061. He began in a reserve role, but an injury to the starter in the seventh game of the season bumped Zipstep up the depth chart. In the remaining five games of the year, he accrued 427 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns. He also had 126 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. In his second year, Zipstep was given the starting job and garnered 1180 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. More eye-opening were his receiving stats, tallying 845 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns. Zipstep chose to forgo his final two years at Akron to take his shot at the pros.

DSFL career

2061

Zipstep declared for eligibility during the tail end of the DSFL's 46th season. Due to the league's rules, he was able to be claimed off waivers by the Bondi Beach Buccaneers prior to the W13 game. He played backup to starting RB Dru Freduci. The Buccaneers had a chance to make the playoffs, but couldn't secure a victory in their W14 game to get themselves in. In the four games, Zipstep amassed 105 yards on 27 attempts (3.9 avg) and one touchdown.
