Kaiden "Hawk" King (born May 13, 2027) was an American football safety for the New York Silverbacks of the ISFL and for the Dallas Birddogs of the DSFL. He was drafted by the Birddogs in the Season 35 DSFL Draft.

Early years

King's parents were UI designers at HP when Kaiden was conceived. Growing up in the upper-middle class, Kaiden in his spare time learned to cook, garden, and also code and also was valedictorian for his high school class. He dreams of becoming a UI designer like his parents if football didn't pan out. Living in Houston, Kaiden originally played the sport of baseball and was known for his hands when catching upcoming flyballs. He was good enough to catch the eyes of minor league teams with his play as a middle schooler. However, he sprained his wrist making a diving play to catch the ball in a game. It was severe and he then decided to hang up playing baseball and almost sports altogether. Kaiden then attended North Shore where in his first two years was a wide receiver. However, due to steady competition, he was greatly outclassed and switched to defense. He played as a safety for the rest of his high school career. He also joined the National Honor Society and DECA to enhance his resume. His play was enough to reach the eyes of Rice University, looking for talent to reach the top of Conference USA. Impressing scouts with his on and off-the-court professionalism, he was later offered a full-ride scholarship to Rice where he majored in Computer Science.

College career

Freshman Season

Starting off as a True Freshman in 2045, he would play all 12 season and 2 bowl games and would break the school records for most interceptions in a single game with 5 interceptions and single season with 14 interceptions. He was awarded the C-USA Defensive Player of the Year Award and C-USA All-American Team. People started to dub him ""The Ball Hawk Among Owls"" due to his amount of interceptions. The Owls ended up with a championship against Western Kentucky 20-17 and the Bahamas Bowl appearance but without a win.

Sophomore Season

Starting off the Sophomore Season with High Expectations, King went full throttle. However, he only play 7 games, due to a foot injury. He ended the season with 8 Interceptions, 5 Sacks, 2 forced fumbles (in the same game), and the Owls went 8-4 and won the championship for the second time in a row but lost in the Outback Bowl. He broke the school record for Career Interceptions.

Junior Season

King ended up missing the entire season due to the foot injury which was started back up during practice. The Owls ended up going 6-6, missing bowl contention.

Senior Season

King, acting now as Defensive Captain, only played one game and that was the Senior game at that end of the season. He ended off his collegiate career with one of the most impressive performances in Rice History with 5 Interceptions, 4 Sacks, 3 Pick Sixs, and 1 Forced Fumbles. Rice ended that season 3-9.
