Early years
Daniel Amon was born in San Diego, California to Rachel and Brandon Amon. He has 3 brothers and a sister, who were all also star high school athletes. Daniel attended Helix Charter High School in La Mesa, California and was named an All-American in High School, leading Helix to a state championship in his senior season."
College career
Amon's success was not enough to gain the attention of the big programs, instead he attended Eastern Illinois University, where he would be the starter from his true freshman season. In his time there he would light up the FCS and lead them to a championship and win the FCS Most Outstanding Player award. He would then use the rule that allows him to declare for the DSFL draft after just one season in college. Unfortunately, Amon clearly overrated his value after just one season, because he would be drafted to the Tijuana Luchadores in the S11 Draft with the last pick in the draft."
