Unfortunately, Dallas would once again miss the playoffs, this time having an even worse record of 2-11-1. Keanu Calhoun however, would have a fantastic rookie season, including a game where he caught three touchdowns. Calhoun would finish with over 1200 yards and 9 TDs, likely earning himself a pro bowl nod, and heavily improving his draft stock from the late ranks of the 3th round where he was drafted to Dallas.

+ | ====Rookie Year==== | ||
+ | Year 1 for Keanu would turn out to be one of the more interesting rookie seasons the league has ever seen. Considering his lofty expectations for his career, Keanu wanted to be called up to the ISFL at the earliest possible time, and after being drafted 15oa by the New Orleans Second Line, that possibility now became a reality, and Keanu was granted WR2 in NOLA. However, after week 5, the management decided that, "if we're going to lose, might as well let everyone get stats", and therefore Calhoun was thrust into the WR1 role as a true rookie.
+ | |||
+ | However what happened next is something even Calhoun couldn't predict. A representative of the San Jose Sabercats scheduled a meeting with the star WR, and offered a very interesting proposition, offering WR1 for both now and into the foreseeable future. This was intriguing to Calhoun, and considering he was unable to be WR1 in NOLA for S43 due to a prior contract from another NOLA WR, Calhoun found it to be in his best interests to request a trade to SJS, and it was there when he really started to shine. After starting with just over 400 yards through the first 8 games, Calhoun skyrocketed, with over 600 yards during the second half of the season, with nearly 1100 yards and 5 TDs, certainly putting himself into contention for ROTY. Despite the tumultuous season involving a midseason trade, Keanu Calhoun had a great year 1 and is looking forward to his future with SJS.
+ | |||
+ | ====Year 2==== | ||
+ | Year 2 would turn out to be a disappointment for Calhoun, which after a rookie year where he eclipsed 1000 yards, the sights were set high for the upcoming season. However, a combination of a regressing QB, as well as a lack of improvement on Calhoun, Calhoun would somehow wound up even worse than last year in yards, however while still managing to sneak over 1000 yards once more. While Calhoun did see slight improvements in catches, targets, and touchdowns, Calhoun's drop and fumble issues continue to haunt him, and sources have said this is something that he is looking to fix in the offseason between year 2 and 3. This season would be another disappointing one for SJS, with SJS being the 3rd worst team in the league. Lord Farquadds broke out on offense for SJS however, and after several strong drafts in a row, it is looking like the future for SJS is very bright indeed, and as the torch moves from Farrell to Patterson, Calhoun looks to further his 1k yard season streak.
+ | |||
+ | ====Year 3==== | ||
+ | The breakout year has finally arrived for Keanu Calhoun. After two above average seasons in the pros, the breakout campaign launched for Keanu Calhoun to finally join the elite receiver category. Improving in every single statistic, this was a season to remember. Amassing over 1300 yards, along 8 TDs, its needless to say this season was a success for Keanu, and he was rewarded with his first pro bowl of his career. However, more impressive than the receiving stats were the amazing season he had as a returner. Calhoun had the 5th highest yards per return of all time (minimum 10 returns) as well as a TD. Alongside an above average punt return season, this was a major success for Keanu, and he was rewarded with a first team all pro, and was the runner up for the special teams player of the year award, with many believing he should have won. With such a good year 3, and with Keanu continuing to improve in the offseason, the future bodes to be very bright for the young wideout. Despite all this, San Jose continues to perform below average, with another losing season of 3-13 and a top 3 selection. However with the improvement of young QB Josh Patterson and the emerging wideout Keanu Calhoun, the future does look bright for the franchise.
+ | |||
+ | ====Year 4==== | ||
+ | Season 45 would turn out to be more of the same for Keanu Calhoun. Some would almost say freakishly similar. He had almost the same amount of catches (2 off), yards (28 off) and touchdowns (1 off), with the exact same long and yards per catch. Although with that said, that meant a season of 97/1300/9 had gone underway, and that was enough for Calhoun's first All Pro as a wide receiver, netting himself his second all pro of his career. And yet again, Keanu made the pro bowl, making that four straight seasons of 1k+ yards to start a career for the young wide out. However, while Keanu's career continued to blossom, the San Jose Sabercats continued to remain stuck in the mud. It was yet another disappointing season of no playoffs, however improvements were made across the board, and with just a few lucky endings, the playoffs were possible. San Jose even had the MVP of the league on their team! Even if he was a defensive player that won. However, the team is young, and the future is ever so bright, and I expect to see Keanu put himself on some playoff records soon in the coming seasons.
+ | |||
+ | ====Year 5==== | ||
+ | |||
+ | Season 46 was an overall failure. Not just for Keanu, but also for the San Jose Sabercats once more. This was Keanu’s worst season since s43, and after such a promising year last season, he unfortunately missed the pro bowl this season. In a year with Josh Patterson and Keanu alike both with high aspirations, the results were unfortunate. San Jose started the season as one of, if not the, best team in the league, and the playoffs seemed likely. However, San Jose finished the season with a losing record, and despite their best efforts, including incredible play on the defensive side of the bowl, the offense was not good enough to win, and they just missed out on the playoffs in the very strong ASFC. After a season like this, Keanu had options, and decided to test Free Agency for the first time in his career. A player of this caliber turns heads, and all but 3 ISFL teams submitted an offer to attempt to recruit this amazing WR, however ultimately after an extremely difficult decision, Keanu decided to return to SJS under the promise of overhauls occurring on the offensive side of the ball. Josh Patterson put in work over the offseason, increasing his arm strength and accuracy, and after an offensive coordinator overhaul, a return was put in place. The future is bright for Keanu, and being back on pro bowl and all pro lists seems to be likely for the future, for if not… this may be the last season in the green and gold.

Keanu Calhoun (born November 11, 2034) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a wide receiver for the New Orleans Second Line. He played college football for University of Florida (UF) and played for the Dallas Birddogs in the DSFL.
Early years
Keanu Calhoun was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, but his football career wouldn't start till much after his birth. Keanu had always been quick, always winning any races he'd have at school. But this never would translate to any sport for Calhoun and he went through most of high school just doing track. Calhoun was an incredible track athlete, breaking school records left and right, and by his junior year of high school, Calhoun already had many D1 offers to run for schools. However, after the junior season of track, Calhoun was offered a starting spot at WR on the football team by the football coach after they saw how physically talented he was. Calhoun eventually accepted, not expecting much to happen from it. However, this is when Keanu Calhoun's proffessional career would truly start. In his senior year of high school, the coach had Calhoun playing every position, as he was truly the most talented athlete at the school. Out of wildcat, in at RB, or outwide, at CB, at S, you name it, Calhoun played it. He was able to secure the Gatorade Georgia Football Player of the Year award in his first year in the sport, and this caused Calhoun to get D1 offers, before eventually declaring for the University of Florida to be their future WR1.
College career
As a true freshman, Calhoun was given very little playing time, and UF decided to redshirt him and refine his skills, as with only one year of high school experience, Calhoun was a very raw prospect at WR. During his sophomore season, Calhoun found his way onto the depth chart, racking up over 500 receiving yards and being the team's starting kick and punt returner due to his incredible speed and elusiveness from his track days. The junior season went much better for Calhoun, and this is truly when DSFL and ISFL scouts saw the potential of Calhoun. He amassed over 1000 receiving yards, as well as receiving All-American at returner. Calhoun's senior year (3'rd football year due to redshirt) was the final dagger into making him seem like an elite prospect. Calhoun terrorized defenses all year, simply being too fast to cover, amasssing over 1600 receiving yards, another All-American at returner as well as receiver, and to put the final cherry on top Florida was able to win the National Championship en route a 31-17 win over USC. After this amazing season, Calhoun decided his stock was high enough, and entered his name into the DSFL draft

Despite all this, San Jose continues to perform below average, with another losing season of 3-13 and a top 3 selection. However with the improvement of young QB Josh Patterson and the emerging wideout Keanu Calhoun, the future does look bright for the franchise.
Year 4
Season 45 would turn out to be more of the same for Keanu Calhoun.
Year 5
Season 46 was an overall failure.
