In the first two years of his career, Flint saw steady time for the London Royals.  He started his first season off with an immediate impact.  Recording 75 tackles, 9 TFL, 3 forced fumbles, and 7 sacks.  He was a great all around player on an otherwise lack luster team.  He was the forth highest tackle contributor on the team.  It was a definite transition from the college ranks to where he is now.  He had to learn how to be a pro where everyone is watching and the media hounds you even more than in college.  London, was an interesting transition for Flint.  He had never left the United States before but was now expected to live in England full time.  Flint credits this change for really helping him to commit to the job and eliminate distractions.  He cut down on the partying and increased his time in the film room.  He worked on becoming the best player and teammate he could be.  If the Royals were going to be a sub par team, it was not going to be his fault.

Fast forward to his second (and final) year on London.  He saw reduced numbers in all statistics besides tackles, where he rose to 92 and was the second highest contributor on the team.  This team also underperformed and the main reason for the decline is that opposing teams were now queuing off of him and he could not hide in the defense to put up great numbers.  All in all, Flint was able to secure a first round draft pick from the San Jose Sabercats and have a semi-successful DSFL career.  After all of the growth Flint encountered when moving to London, he knew he had to up it a notch to make him a worth the ISFL pick.  He took up an interest in the theory of football and has tried to increase his intelligence to go beyond the field.  He was seeing things in a new light.  If he was not able to have jaw-dropping statistics, he was going to do all he could to possibly open doors for coaching in the future.  He became even more of a gym rat and focused more on his speed and strength, on top of helping his team in the film room, pointing out things that even some of the coaches missed.

This was the first year for Flint in the International Simulation Football League and he played for the [[San Jose Sabercats]].  Though he only recorded two sacks, three forced fumbles, and one interception, he made up for it in tackling production.  In his first year, he racked up 109 tackles in 16 games, putting him 8th overall in the league.  Not too bad for the rookie to make such an immediate impact.  Throughout the season, he has been working on his hand work and play reading ability.  He expressed that he wants to get back to being a dominate pass rusher, like he was at Ohio State University.  He has grown significantly faster and has improved with his hands but there is some more work to do.  Flint needs to work on his agility and competitiveness if he really wants to start getting to opposing quarterbacks.  But, if he continues to improve like he did this season, there is no reason he cannot reach such heights within the next two seasons.  Only time will tell what happens with this rookie and no matter what happens, it can only be better for the ISFL as a whole.

If any year was going to be the year, it was this year.  Flint rebounded with 106 tackles, an increase in tackles for loss at 7, an uptick in forced fumbles at 2, and an increase in sacks to 4.  Flint has been working really hard to be a more impactful player.  Out of 100, Flint would be rated 88 and has been more of a Speed Rusher, which definitely helped his numbers.  The team finished in second in the division and it was Flint's playoff berth in his professional career.  Unfortunately for Flint, the offense keyed off of Flint and neutralized him in the game.  He was a non-factor with only 2 tackles to his name in the game and no other stats.  Flint was still getting better though and through rigorous training, he plans to be an even more impactful of a player the next season.  In the offseason, he plans to focus on his tackling ability to really help the team make stops before the offensive play develops.  Hopefully, these efforts are rewarded with better performances in games that matter next season.

Nick Flint (born August 1, 2026) is an American football linebacker who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for The Ohio State University (OSU) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Flint grew up in Columbus, Ohio going to the local Gahanna-Lincoln High School. This affluent school system has historically been well funded and has been able to provide its players with the best of the best training and equipment. Though the Golden Lions rarely make it deep in the playoffs, there have been a few stand-outs that made professional careers. Flint fully intended on being one of those players.

Flint made the varsity roster as a freshman (skipping the freshman team outright) and was a starter for all four years. In that time, Flint has become the all-time leader in tackles and sacks for Gahanna-Lincoln. During that time, Flint famously was recorded on the local news for running past a reporter naked, running from opposing players of senior tag. Senior tag is a game played by Gahanna-Lincoln seniors that is played with NERF guns. Once hit, the player is out. The only way to not get out is to be naked in public. Luckily for Flint, that did not affect his commitment to The University of Michigan (at the time). Flint initially committed to The University of Michigan and then switched to rival Ohio State one hour before the deadline. This prompted his controversial reply of "I don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan".

College career

Outside of all of Flint's off-the-field antics, he has had a historic college career. His first start happened to be in The Big House against the University of Michigan, the same team he trolled so epically in the recruiting period. In that game, Flint managed to record 11 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and an interception. The perfect slap in the face for the team that failed to recruit the star. This game was the first instance in Flint's career where he began his iconic ice hockey celebration (where he pretends to take a monster slap shot and celebrate the goal). Flint went on to start ever game after that historic first game. Though he only played a little over 2 seasons for Ohio State, he is in the top 20 in all time Ohio State rankings for tackles, sacks, and quarter back pressures.

Flint famously laughed hysterically in an interview when he was asked what he felt about the University of Michigan resigning Jim Harbaugh to a contract extension.

S33
