Early years
Born to poor parents, Bruce Buckley was born and raised in the rough parts of Western Sydney. Being bigger and stronger then all of the other kids led to Bruce being offered a scholarship to the prestigous Westfield Sports High School in Western Sydney. Here Buckley excelled at numerous sports but was particularly interested in playing American Football and his academics. However, the school did not support an American Football program so Buckley only played during school lunch with friends. Also, at high school Buckley became a bully and was used to throwing people aside to get them out of his way. Buckley excelled at school and was offered scholarships to numerous Australian and Asian Universities, choosing to attend Western Sydney University. The early years greatly impacted Bruce Buckley as it genereated the person he is, both in personality and play style. Buckley was a huge fan of the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL and a fan of the Outlaws in the NSFL
College career
At Western SYdney UNiversity, Buckley discovered there was no American Football program but this was the case with all other universities he was offered a scholarship to. WHile there were universities with these programs, Buckley could not afford them without a scholarship. It was at this time, Buckley was determined to reach his goal of the NSFL. He put his head into the books at WSU and trying to achieve great results during his Bachelor of Arts while palying for a local flag football team. During the championship game, a local scout noticed Buckley and his rise to prospect was started. After becoming a top tier prosipect, Buckley moved to America to achieve his goal. He was quick to rise up the scouting boards and has become one of the best prospect in the upcoming DSFL draft. However, there have been recent personality issues with Buckley who seems to believe he may be above the developmental league. Arguments with other prospects, reporters and members of staff might have an impact on his draft stock. Only time will tell.
