Trent Silverback (born February 8, 2032) is an American football offensive lineman who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Fresno State (FSU) before going undrafted in the 2056 ISFL Draft (S41).

Early years

Trent Silverback was born and raised in Las Vegas Nevada. Both parents were athletes from the central California area. Father was a successful linebacker in high school and college but failed to have a successful pro career. His mother was a standout Tennis player with moderate success as an amateur after high school. Trent is one of 6 children, most of whom have shown natural athletic talents in various sports, including football, baseball, tennis and wrestling. He attended Gorman Bishop High School where he was a first-team all-district slection as a senior. Gorman Bishop made the playoffs with a perfect 10-0 record but fell just short of the championship game in a close loss to their rivals, the Palo Verde Panthers. He was also on the track team as a shot putter. He was considered a 3-star recruit and chose Fresno State to attend due to family history with the school.

College career

Trent Silverback attended Fresno State University. While many larger schools showed interest, Trent was drawn to the area due to family history. Trent started as a true freshman beginning at Right Tackle. Silverback set freshman school records in pancakes and was rewarded by being named to the Freshman All-America second-team. Silverback played 13 games his sophomore year missing only 1 due to a minor ankle injury. As a junior, Trent was moved to the Left Tackle position and started 14 games for the Bulldogs of Fresno State, their OL allowing only 12 sacks on the season and recording fewest QB pressures among left tackles in the Mountain West Conference. The team won the MWC championship with QB Darrick Cann winning MVP behind Silverback's dependable blocking. As a senior, Silverback anchored the line that again made it to the Mountain West championship game losing a close battle to Boise State. Professional career

Trent's professional career began with the Portland Pythons. He performed well in a very strong offensive line unit. Trent started at right tackle the entire season and became a very key piece of the team's puzzle. Trent was among the league leaders in pancakes as well as fewest sacks allowed. Silverback also played smart football committing a very small number of penalties on the year. While the team had a slow start to the season, they got things together and put together a very strong season finishing top of their division and entering the playoffs. As a team, the Pythons played incredibly strong football in the play offs which led them all the way to the Ultimini championship where they fell just short of winning it all. The let down of losing the championship game definitely motivated Trent as he was seen in the immediate days after putting in work in the weight room and on the practice field even when there were no scheduled activities. Trent is looking to improve going into his second season where he hopes to stand tall and once again return to the championship game.
