Thor Dangerson (born November 7, 2030) is an American football offensive lineman who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Stoutland University and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Thor Dangerson was born in Sweden. Thor was a Pictish Scout, and avid rugby player. He was discovered and scouted by Jeff Stoutland. Not much about Thors early life or parents are really known as Picts did not keep much of a history or were they really known for their litterature. At some point Thor Dangerson's village had sold him into subserviance to a vicious necromancer Thusla Doom. Set in the Hyborian Age Thor Dangerson was employed as a forward scout in Thusla Doom's army. Mostly used like a dog running fore the horses and tracking of enemies. Picts did not ride horses instead these scouts ran ahead wearing very little armor except for pants. Thor had been tatooed in the PIct style. Although attributed to being born in Sweden this is incorrect. They attribute it to Sweden because that is where Thor was first found after his foreward scout raiding days. Hyboria records are spotty at best.

College career

Thor has not played American football yet. He was discovered on the rugby field while Jeff Stoutland was on vacation to Sweden. Eventually Stoutland decided to have him come out to a combine and run. Thor is considered a very raw talent with a gifted physical accumen. It is a long shot that Thor could adjust and develop into a talent at all, however under Stoutlands tutelage perhaps he can be molded into something of value in the league. Thor originally honed his physique by working as a Pictish Scout involved in the initial scouting and attacking of Conan the Barbarian's home town. Thor was lead forward scout used in that initial ransacking of the town that lead to Conan's rise and thirst for revenge. Thor was but barely even a footnote in that saga, but this is where he developed his speed and size through barbaric training. Rugby players have been turned into footballers before however Pictish Scouts have not. Nobody knows why they let Thor Dangerson go, perhaps he was like an caged animal kept too long.

Professional career

As an athletic build for the OL position Thor was drafted 6th round pick 42 by the Portland Pythons. Thor Dangerson is making a switch from the Offensive Line over to the defensive side as Line Backer. As an athletic build at OL Thor is trying his hand at the LB position where he would go from undersized at OL to larger build in his position at Line Backer. The strategic choice was made that Dangerson's build, athletic prowess, and motor would be a better fit at a violent position at Line Backer.

Thor Dangerson got to Portland and experience the season of curse breaking. Like thunder clouds rolling across a land that has only known rain as a myth; Dangerson got to experience his elated teammates in disbelief the coming rains. The entire season Portland was in the driver seat, except for a brief weak were one loss saw Portland drop to 2nd place in the league, week 6. After that week Portland was in the lead in the league tables the entire way through. Portland had plenty great come backs however, there was always talk of the curse. The entire locker room was celebrating wins but never relaxed. There was always talk of the curse. Portland has so many times no matter how good their record gotten to the mini only to lose. As the season went on the murmurs of curse became outright talks of the curse. Having worked for the great necromancer Thulsa Doom, Thor Dangerson was no stranger to curses. At first Dangerson had employed voodoo charms to appease the sim gods, but as mentions of a curse Dangerson immediately took to employing every trick he knew on countering curses. Rubbing eggs across his skin, lighting insence and, employing a voodoo witch doctor to set upon the curse. Whether it was the witch doctor or just the over all talent and legendary offensive performance that broke the curse. It happened, Portland had attained the Ultimini. Thor Dangerson played the entire season as LOLB.

DSFL year 2 In Thor Dangerson’s second year in the DSFL on the Portland Pythons, Thor saw a little production tail off from his pass defense. Going from 12 pass deflections and two interceptions the season before, Thor did see that turn into a uptick in sacks. Thor averaged 1 sack a game and totaled 15 sacks on the season. Thor was a wrecking ball in the backfield during the playoffs. Thor recorded 6 tackles for a loss in one playoff game securing himself a DSFL playoff record for single game tackles for loss. The playoff run ended in Portland not repeating and losing to the Tijuana Luchadores. After the loss Thor was caught on camera saying that he has gotten one, and now lost one. Thor at the end of the game was informed by his team leadership in the Yellow Knife Wraiths that he is in fact being called up to the ISFL. Thor did get in trouble this season and found himself losing a bit of training in the sin bin.

Rookie Year ISFL Year 1 Rookie year Thor Dangerson found himself in the ISFL playing for the Yellow Knife Wraiths. Thor Dangerson made his usual sacrifices for Simuloux the Blood God. These blood sacrifices must have not appeased the blood god Simulox for Dangerson did not see as a effective a season as he has been used to. Dangerson started at MLB and tried to put his coverage abilities to work covering Running Backs who would leak out on pass plays, or cover up any holes on run plays. Dangerson was able to find a couple sacks which he was relieved to be able to get. He was often found muttering to himself on a few occasions of gaining a stat sheet of 0, that the offense must have been avoiding him game planning around his ferocious hits trying to save their Running Backs for the postseason. Excitingly, Dangerson was involved with rebranding the Yellow Knife Wraiths and got to see that unveiled at the end of the season.

Suprise Ride to the Ultimus S46 Was a shocker for Dangerson. The season before Dangerson had a slow low stat rookie season and played in the middle of the field. Had witnessed his team pick 1st overall in the draft as the entire season was a disaster. Season 46 everything changed. Dangerson was repositioned to an OLB position, while watching the team over perform, as well as Dangerson himself. Dwarfing his stats from his rookie year, Dangerson nabbed himself a pick 6, a safety, and surprisingly in the playoffs had a few key defensive moments that propelled the shocked Wraiths all the way to the Ultimus. One of the key moments in the playoffs was against Sarasota. As SAR had inexplicably never kicked a field goal to win, the game had gone into overtime. This had become the theme of the playoffs for the YKW was to get to overtime and win. This playoff game reached OT and Dangerson had a conversation about working on his competitiveness in order to match the running backs. It paid off as the legendary Ace Anderson ran the ball and was hit by Dangerson which coughed the ball up in YKW field goal position, that turnover turned into a game winning field goal by the marvelous Zenzeroni Xystarch II. The wraiths didn’t win the final, but made it quite the game and finished that season from last to 2nd best. Hell of a season.

Grimm wrote "Stand Out: Thor Dangerson POR I really need to reiterate how difficult of a decision this linebacker standout was to make. With that said, Thor Dangerson clearly deserves it for the numbers he managed in his rookie season. One of four linebackers with double digit sacks, one of four linebackers with triple digits, one of two linebackers with double digit tackles for a loss, and one of two linebackers to score a defensive touchdown. He was the only linebacker who was in all four of those groups, and he was the only linebacker to manage double digit PDs and more than one interception. The only stat you can knock him on is his forced and recovered fumbles being a bit small compared to my two upcoming honorable mentions, but to me he more than makes up for that by being the best coverage linebacker in this rookie class.
