Teenie Hodges (born November 16, 2030) is an American football wide receiver for the Norfolk Seawolves of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Teenie Hodges was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. Hodges began playing guitar at age 12 in his father's band, the Germantown Blue Dots, before joining his brothers Leroy and Charles in their group, the Impalas. He began playing Football at age 16 after an injury to his fretting hand forced him to give up guitar for a year. He quickly began a force to be reckoned with on the football field where he started as a Junior for William L Dickinson Highschool despite never playing organized sports prior. He played with a cast on his hand for the entirety of his Junior year and led Dickinson in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. As a senior he would set the season records for both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Teenie excelled as a runner with surprising explosiveness and speed. He was not heavily recruited out of high-school and took his only scholarship offer from Western Michigan University.

College Career

Hodges was converted into a wide receiver in college despite never playing the position before. As a true freshman in 2019, Hodges started 12 of 13 games and had 53 receptions for 802 yards and three touchdowns. As a sophomore in 2020, he played in five games, recording 25 receptions for 388 yards and three touchdowns. He returned as a starter in 2021.Against Northern Illinois he tied a school record with four touchdowns receptions. Moore declared for the DSFL following his Senior Season. Having dealt with lingering issued regarding his hand, Hodges opted for surgery on his hand prior to the DSFL draft and thus was held out of the draft as his medicals cleared. He was picked up on waivers by the Norfolk Seawolves and was slotted to be a big time contributor from day one. Many evaluators were high on Hodges despite the injury concerns and expect him to excel despite playing at a small school in college

DSFL Career

DSFL Rookie Season (2052)

Teenie joined the Norfolk Seawolves as a waiver pickup during the last bit of Training Camp. He was able to play in all 4 preseason games and despite coming off injury and having very little camp time, He was #1 on the depth chart for the 1st game. On a run first team, Hodge's role was to stretch the field and be the constant deep threat. Hodges lead all rookie Wide receivers with a 17.3 average and broke the Norfolk records for longest reception with a 96 yard touchdown reception. Norfolk would struggle offensively for most of the year, but Hodges was one of the positives. Norfolk would finish outside the playoff race with a 5-9 record. Hodges gained a considerable amount of buzz for his play as the year progressed with some experts having him as the #1 WR in the draft and one of the players with highest ceiling of all the prospects in the s38 class.

S38 ISFL Draft

Entering the S38 ISFL draft, Hodges was considered by many analyst as a first round pick, appearing in many drafts leading up to the ISFL draft. Hodges was drafted 9th overall to the Orange County Otters as the first WR taking in the draft. With the option to come up immediately, Hodges opted to stay down in the DSFL to get more reps as a number one receiver and a chance for an Ultimini.

Send Down Season (2053)

Norfolk was much improved in Hodges 2nd season. They again had the best rushing attack and worst passing offense in the league. With an 8-6 record they would win the division. Hodges for his part, eclipsed 1000 yards with 10 touchdowns. A feat in such a run heavy offense. Hodges role as the deep threat was the perfect formula for Norfolk. Norfolk would win the conference championship and compete in the Ultimini. Norfolk would lose in the final. Hodges is expected to be called up to Orange County next season.

ISFL Rookie Season (2054)

Teenie Hodges saw his rookie season start as a role player. He was the 3rd WR on the depth chart for Orange county. After a mid season trade he was elevated to starter for the final 3 games. Overall it was under whelming season for the rookie wr. He did not get the volume expected for a 1st round WR. Many media members questioned if drafting Hodges was a mistake for OCO. The Gms are committed to Hodges as a project at WR. He did have some success towards the end of the season as a starter. Moving into his 2nd season expectations will be higher than ever. Hodges play style largely transferred over from the DSFL. He had trouble consistently being the deep threat he was a the DSFL level. He became more of a intermediate target something that most scouts projected would be a strength when he was drafted. Hodges is set for a big role for OCO in the future.
