Sledge Hammer (born July 6, 2028) is an American football defensive end who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for University of North Texas (UNT) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Sledge Hammer was born to two loving parents in Richardson, Texas on July 6th 2028. Sledge has a bigger, dumber brother named Jack. Sledge grew up loving the sport of football and crew up an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and spent much of his time watching or playing the sport. usually to the detriment of the players he was playing against who were usually much smaller than Sledge. Sledge and his brother Jack would end up dominating the high school football scene in Texas but unfortunately weren't on a good team throughout their four years in high school and failed to make the playoffs inspite of putting up monster numbers as a four year starter for Richardson High School varsity team. In his final season at the school, the team would go on to lose every game that season even though Sledge would end up setting the school record for sacks and tackles for loss over a career. Despite putting up monster numbers and being an absolutely intimidating human being based on hi size and speed Sledge wasn't a highly recruited player coming out of high school. The only instate school that offered him a scholarship was the University of North Texas. Upon finding out that his brother Jack also got a scholarship from North Texas both players decided to stick together and both accepted scholarships from the University of North Texas to continue their football careers.

College career

Like his brother Jack, the transition to college football was a rougth one for Sledge. He was red shirted his freshman year after having an unimpressive first team camp. During his red shirt freshman year he was used sparingly only getting into games that were blow outs and getting some time on special teams during this season. He would pick up his first career sack on September 12th 2048 during a home game against the University of Alabama Birmingham. Sledge wouldn't really earn more playing time during his sophomore campaign but was giving playing time due to players graduating from the season before and other players getting injured during the season. He would end up finishing the season with five sacks and seven additional tackles for losses during this season. During his junior season Sledge started to come into his own, Getting off to a hot start by averaging 2.5 sacks per game in the first 4 games of the sasons. Late in the season his brother Jack would suffer a season ending injury, in solidarity with his brother missing time, Sledge decided to sit out the rest of the season to help his brother with his rehab from injury. Sledge spent most of his senior season as rotational player because of him choosing to sit out the latter part of his junior season. Eventually he would regain his starting position after having a 3.5 sack game against the University of Texas San Antonio. Even with limited playing time Sledge would end up coming close to setting the school record for sacks in a season with him registering 12 sacks in his final season af North Texas.
