Sir Peter Jackson (born October 31, 2024) was an American football offensive lineman. He played college football for NC State (NCSU).
Early years
Sir Peter Jackson was not born a Sir, but he was born on Halloween night in Wellington, New Zealand. His parents Bill and Joan were emigrants from England and had moved to New Zealand prior to Peter's birth. Peter was always fascinated with film and cinema. He grew up admiring old Monty Python and King Kong films. Early on he discovered his love for The Lord of the Rings through the animated films made in the late 1970s. This would lead him to leave school at sixteen years old to pursue his dream to become a filmmaker. As you probably know, he achieved that dream and went on to create the greatest film trilogy of all time in his live action Lord of the Rings trilogy that was filmed and made in his home country of New Zealand. This led to Peter being knighted and thus his full name now being Sir Peter Jackson. After achieving this goal Peter had nothing left to offer the world of film and decided after admiring American football for years to move to the states and try his hand at football.
College career
At first he tried to get in directly with the professional leagues, but everyone told him he had to at least play at the college level first. Luckily, he was a well known person and used his name to get tryouts at multiple universities. After being declined an opportunity from Alabama and Clemson Peter visited Raleigh, North Carolina where he met with Dave Doeren and the rest of the NC State Wolfpack football staff. He expressed interest in playing college football and explained that after years of loving to watch the sport he thought he wanted to play. He had been weight lifting and found that his body size naturally lended itself to being an offensive lineman. Sir Peter loved the offensive line as it was like the hobbits an underapreciated group. He had been taking dance lessons as well to improve his footwork, and when the NC State coaches agreed to let him put in a proper tryout they were amazed at how athletically talented he was. They immediately offered him a spot on the roster with one condition. He would teach a film making class every semester at no charge to the university. Sir Peter was ecstatic and was also happy to share his love of film making with the students at NC State. He worked hard with the training staff at NC State and quickly rose to be the clear top offensive lineman on the team. He didn't end up staying at NC State for long as his talent was so incredible that after his first season on the team NFL scouts were talking about how he would be a sure fire first round draft pick when he declared for the draft. Sir Peter decided to waive the rest of his college elligibility after his first season, but to the shock of many declared that he would be declaring for the ISFL rather than the NFL. He had always dreamed of playing for his favorite team, the New Orleans Second Line, and since they were a part of the ISFL his heart was set on that league.
