Ryan Lawrence (born March 6, 2032) is an American football defensive end for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Lawrence was born in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria to Martin and Emma Lawrence. Growing up, Lawrence played multiple sports, starting off with tennis and cricket, before moving to play park rugby league towards the end of his schooling life. A gifted athlete, Lawrence quite school at the age of 17 to persue a apprentership to become a carpenter. Working solidly, Lawrence continued to chip away at the job, earning his money which he spent on himself, as well as paying for his rent and food. He also found love while working, becoming the boyfriend of a client's daughter after the two hit it off one day. While playing park rugby, Lawrence was seen by a University of Pittsburgh scout, who saw the strength of the young man and thought it it might suit the position of defensive end back in the States. Lawrence was offered a workout by the scout, where he managed to earn a full scholorship to study and play for the Pitt Panthers from 2051

College career

Starting his college career for the Panthers in 2051, Lawrence played for the defence on sparingly, managing only a couple of snaps a game. He completed his first sack in his 3rd game for the Panthers, and finished the season with 2 sacks, 3 TFL, 9 tackles, and 1 forced fumble. It was in his sophomore season where Lawrence broke out, becoming a star player on the defense, recording 13 sacks, 24 TFL, and 2 forced fumbles. He's best game was against Syracuse, where he recorded 3 sacks and 1 FF. Lawrence's unlikely rise to stardom continued into his junior year, where he became the best defensive player in college football. Lawrence produced 19 sacks in just 12 games for the Panthers, along with 34 TFL, 3 FF and a safety. However, a late ACL injury wrecked his chances in the DSFL draft, where he went undrafted before being picked up by the Kansas City Coyotes off waivers.

S39

Lawrence was a starting player in the Coyotes line-up for S39, where he partnered Alex Armstrong on the ends of the defensive line. During the season, Lawrence produced 7 sacks across just 12 games, alongside 12 tackles, a TFL, 3 fumbles forced and recovered, as well as a safety. In his second game, Lawrence recorded his first sack against the Norfolk Seawolves in a 41-0 thumping. It was Week 6 where Lawrence recorded his first fumble, recovering it in the loss to the Dallas Birddogs. Lawrence got his revenge against the Birddogs though in Week 13, where he recorded two sacks in the 45-27 win. The following week, Lawrence was named Defensive Player of the Week, after a game which Lawrence had 2 tackles, 1 sack, 1 safety, as well as a fumble forced and recovered. The Coyotes amazing season culminated in an Ultimini Championship, with Lawrence recording a TFL in the win over the Seawolves. Lawrence was then subsequently drafted in the Season 40 ISFL Draft, where he was selected at pick 33 by the Cape Town Crash.

S40

Lawrence remained with the Kansas City Coyotes for another year, given time to develop his craft before getting called up to the big leagues. Paired with rookie Lukas Van Ness, Lawrence produced a 13 sack season across with 14 games, in addition to 34 tackles, 6 tackles for loss, as well as 5 forced fumbles. Lawrence had his best game in Week 4, finishing with 3 tackles, 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. In recognition of his efforts, Lawrence was chosen for both the Pro-Bowl as well the 2055 DSFL All-Pro First team. Lawrence contributed to the number 2 pass rush in the DSFL, with the Coyotes finishing with 56 sacks and 31 TFL. Individually, Lawrence had the 2nd highest number of sacks, runners up to Bruce White with 28 sacks. Lawrence also tied with White for the highest number of forced fumbles, with 5 each forced and 1 recovered.
