Roquefort Cotswald (born September 3, 2038) is an American football cornerback for the Norfolk Seawolves of the DSFL. He played college football for North Dakota State University (NDSU) before being drafted 1st overall by the Norfolk Seawolves in the Season 46 DSFL Draft.

Early years

Born in Paris France. Both of his parents were international cheese dealers, his father a Luxembourg native, and his mother from Lyon. They moved from Paris France to North Dakota when Roquefort was around three years in old in order to experience the cultural sensation of midwestern American cheese. From a young age, Roquefort was interested in American football, and always had a nose for the ball. He played both ways in the little leagues, wide-out on offense and defensive back on defense. He quickly stood out amongst his young peers as a player with quick feet and a good mind for coverage and schemes. Going into highschool he began to take his athletic career seriously, switching to a diet solely consisting of cheese and crème de la crème à la Edgar. Fueled by his lactose intolerance, he was launched onto the football field with a level of ferocity not yet seen before in small-town Cheeseville North Dakota. His sophomore campaign ended with an impressive 1200 yard receiving season on offense, while simultaneously racking up 9 PBUs and 3 interceptions on defense.

College career

Once he began to attract college scout attention, he was pushed to focus more on his defensive playmaking and develop into a coverage corner. He ended his highschool career as a highly touted prospect within the state, and was more than happy to commit to play in the Fargodome for the NDSU Bison. His college career was solid, yet uneventful, as Roquefort failed to stand apart from other CBs within the FCS. His most notable skills in college were a relatively fast speed, with decent hands, likely tracing back to his time playing wideout as a child. Failing to attract any attention from the highest leagues, he now looks to play in the Prospect Bowl of the ISFL in an attempt to continue his career on the football field. Re-assessing his training, he has once again begun a solely cheese-fueled diet, and opposing CBs should be cautious to wash their feet thoroughly before the game, as Roquefort's nose is notoriously powerful, compensating for his tendencies to fall for head fakes.

After being selected first overall by the Norfolk Seawolves, Roquefort Cotswald was quickly raised to CB2 for the team. He had a slow start to the season in the air, but had a commanding chase-down force fumble in a victory against the future Ultimini runner-ups London Royals. His first interception of the season came against fellow S47 class player - quarterback "Puddles O'Duck". This would notably be the first INT in the box score of both of these players careers - a sign of many more to come. He had his season best game in Week 14 against the future DSFL Champions the Dallas Birddogs. Roquefort recorded a massive stat block with 10 tackles, 2 PDs, and a clutch INT. He also had a last-second chasedown tackle to force the game into overtime, which the Seawolves would go on to win. He'd end his rookie DSFL season with 64 tackles, 1 FF/FR, 18 PDs, and 5 INTs. He'd lead the class in INTs, and tie for 3rd in the league for overall turnovers. With the ISFL draft going on, Roquefort has a tough decision to make. Staying down another season could be a key factor in helping Norfolk bring a trophy back to Virginia - but going up to the ISFL immediately may further his future legacy. One thing is certain, Roquefort still has a lot left to prove.
