Roma Amir-Kani (born May 1, 2029) is an American football safety for the Portland Pythons of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Roma Amir-Kani was born in Maribor, Slovenia, on 1/17/28, to his mother and father, Nicola Jaden Amir-Kani, and Herman Declan Mason respectively. His mother was a hard worker and put a lot of emphasis on Roma's education, but his father focused more on sports. After his dad, Herman Declan Mason left him and his mother at 15, Roma was put between a rock and a hard place on where to go with his life. And he chose sports, specifically football. As a teenager, Amir-Kani was a very kind, yet violent individual, and due to the many concussions from football, could barely think his way out of a box. He had many girlfriends, but often screwed up relationships due to over-controlling. He was terrific at football though, winning all-Slovenia honors for DB at his high school, Rockwater High, as a freshman. And he only got better. Although his senior year, he had a horrific Achilles injury that sidelined him the whole season, he still got multiple offers from colleges.

College career

As a true freshman in 2046, just coming off his Achilles injury, Amir-Kani got little to no play time at the University of Slovenia. He only had 10 total snaps all season, and they were all on special teams. But he did make the most of those 10 snaps with 7 blocked punts, 3 of those returned for a touchdown, and 2 kickoff return touchdowns. His sophomore year, with a new head coach at UoS, Ivan Ezekiel Doyle, Amir-Kani got plenty more playtime. With 10 interceptions, 113 tackles, and 7.5 sacks, Amir-Kani made his presence known on the football field. This sophomore year was truly what put him on the radar for professional football. But, in January 2048, while coming home from his birthday party, Amir-Kani ran over 3 and a half mailboxes, which in Slovenia, is a felony. And due to this, he was jailed for the remainder of his Junior year. He came back during training camp for his senior year severely out of shape and with no drive to play, according to his coaches at least. The rumor is, that Ivan Doyle got into a bar fight with Amir-Kani the day before UoS's first game of the season and called Amir-Kani a wimp, and this awoke something inside of him. His senior year made his sophomore year look pedestrian with 20 interceptions, 210 tackles, 23 sacks, 27 pass deflections, 10 fumble recoveries, and 17 defensive touchdowns. He won the all-Europe honors and committed to play football at a higher level, and while missing the deadline for the draft because he lost his application sheets in his pantry, he did get picked up on waivers by the Portland Pythons.

Professional career

2050

Roma Amir-Kani was picked up four games into the DSFL's 35th season, with little to no expectations of his performance. Coming into an already outstanding Portland Pythons defense, Amir-Kani had very little room to shine on this star-studded defense. But, he found a way to make a difference on this amazing defense. In his first game, in week 5 versus the Dallas Birdogs, he had 6 tackles and 1 pass deflection. A pretty good showing for his inaugural game, halfway through the season. In week 6 he had 5 tackles and 2 pass deflections against the Royals. In week 7 he had a season-high 9 tackles. In week 8 he had another 9 tackle game. In week 9 he had a more quiet game with just 5 tackles. In week 10 he got his first career sack along with 3 tackles. In week 11 he had 6 tackles and 2 pass deflections. In week 12 he had his first career interception, as well as another one, and 5 tackles + 3 pass deflections. In week 13 he had his first forced fumble and 4 tackles + a pass deflection. In week 13 he had 6 tackles. In the playoff semifinals versus the Kansas City Coyotes, he had 8 tackles, 2 sacks, and a pass deflection.
