Richard "Dick Skinny" Skinns (born December 7, 2026) is an American football cornerback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Alabama (Bama) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Richard "Dick Skinny" Skinns was born and raised in New York, NY. As long as he could remember he's always been the tall lanky kid, but one thing he had going for his was his elite speed. Whether it be during recess or when he began to play Basketball and Football. When he ran he caught folks attention. During elementary and middle school he played PG on the court and RB/CB on the gridiron. His middle school Football coach Frank Zabynski once stated that Skinns was a "natural athlete" and it was likely he would "go far in his eventual sport of choice.". Once in Skinns reached high school he decided to make a decision and, stick to one sport specifically, and of course as we know he decided to stick with football.

Originally it was looking like Skinns would be recruited to play RB in a D1 school however after a few workouts scouts noticed his natural ability to play corner at a higher level. Skinns was willing to do whatever he thought would be best for his career, and he would ultimately commit to Alabama and decided to follow through with their plans and, play CB for their program.

College career

Skinns was red shirted as a Freshman and would spend the season honing his abilities and truly learning how to dissect film and read a defense. Next season he would see some playing time as a back up early on however he would eventually take over the starting duty's due to an injury. It was a rough start for the first few games, but he would end the last 3 with 3 interceptions, 5 PDs, and 25 tackles though Alabama would see an early playoff exit. His Sophomore season would see the positive trend continue and he would get halfway through the season with 45 TKLs, 5 INTs, 4 PDs and a FF. However a hamstring injury would see him miss the rest of the season. As much as he wanted to play he knew it was not worth risking his career, and after some weeks rehabbing the decison was made for him to sit out the rest of his Sophomore year. His Junior year came around, and Skinns was ready to go. This is where he got his famed nickname "Dick Skinny". Specifically during a pick 6 that would result in Bama winning a close game against LSU. Was a Bama legend being born? Well "Dick Skinny" would put together his best year yet in the regular season, but whether due to bad luck or, something else Skinns and Bama would see another early playoff exit.

Many expected Skinns to come back for one more year, and bring home some sort of championship, but instead he decided to leave for the DSFL. Leaving quite a sour taste in some of the Bamas fans mouth. Skinns has stated many times he is always going to do what is best for his career, and you'd have to imagine this move was exactly that.
