Quentin Button (born April 17, 2016) is an American football safety for the Norfolk Seawolves of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Quentin Button was born in Milwaukee, WI in 2016. Growing up, he was a multisport athlete playing football, basketball, but mainly baseball. In high school, he was a wide receiver, starting pitcher, and point guard. He helped pitch his team to a state championship. He grew up playing with his cousin Erik Rivers, a thirdbaseman for the New York Voyagers in the PBE. Rivers greatly encouraged Button to pursue baseball despite his dual interest. During his senior year, he dropped basketball to focus on baseball and football and committed to the University of Iowa to play baseball. Button was a three star prospect. He choose to go to Iowa as Rivers also played both for a school in Iowa and under the same coach.

College career

Quentin Button was expected to spend his first year in the bullpen before moving to the starting rotation later in his college career. He was epected to lead the Iowa pitching staff as he progressed, but the progression never came. Button struggled greatly as a pitcher in Iowa. He missed half of his freshman season due to a should injury and never managed to meet was expected from him. He was initially expected to play as a starting pitcher, but his injury and lackluster performance put him in low leverage relief role. His sophomore year, he continued to disappoint, putting up a 6.58 era and never joining the starting rotation. Before his junior year started, he announced his plan to quit baseball and prepare for the 2039 NSFL draft. This decision, while controversial, was generally considered a good move as Button's draft prospects for the PBE were slim to none.
