Pete Zuh (born January 3, 2028) is an American football quarterback for the Norfolk Seawolves of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Pete Zuh was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on January 3rd, 2028. Growing up, he gained his passion of football by watching his older brothers play. Inspired by their skill and dedication to the game, Pete started playing flag football in his youth, which he did well in. Pete loved eating food but had a special affinity for pizza, which made him bigger than most kids his age. This made him decide that playing Offensive Lineman would be the best fit for him, and would be his best opportunity to impact the game. Pete was an above average Lineman throughout high school, but did not make a big impact on the team. After a while, Pete did not believe Offensive Lineman was for him, so he attempted to try new positions. He had interest in Quarterback, but his coach wanted him to stick to being a Lineman. Despite his mediocre high school years, he still ended up getting interest from multiple colleges.

College career

Pete ended up going to Pepperoni University, which he decided was his best chance to make it to the DSFL. He had a mundane first year at PU, allowing many sacks and pressure on his QB. Early in his second year, he was struggling to keep a starting position on the Offensive Line. On the verge of being replaced, he took his training to the next level, and started to improve his game, day by day. By the end of his second year he recorded much better stats, only allowing 3 sacks. Pete started his third year much like the end of his second, still improving on his game. After playing at a high level for most of the year, his game started to become stagnant. After a horrific injury to his QB, his team needed a new QB to play the remainder of the season. Pete was still interested in Quarterback, like he was in high school. He decided to try out for the position, and he showed flashes of greatness, but in the end he was not chosen for the role. Pete played the remainder of the season at a mediocre level. In his final year at PU, Pete never reached the same success as he had before, and his skill continued to regress.

Professional career

Season 35

Zuh was drafted to the Norfolk Seawolves in the 5th round, 38th overall. After his mediocre college years as an Offensive Lineman, Zuh was asked to swap his position to Quarterback after the draft. Pete had his DSFL debut in Week 1 of the Pre-season against the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. He recorded an impressive 5 TDs, 0 INTs, and 362 yards through the air. Zuh struggled in his first three games of the regular season, only throwing for 2 TDs, and 4 INTs. In week 4, Pete had a breakout game on the road against the Kansas City Coyotes. He boasted an excellent 4 TDs, 0 INTs, with a passer rating of 137.9. Zuh continued to improve throughout the season, and the Norfolk Seawolves ended up making the playoffs as the 2nd seed in the South Division. Pete and the Seawolves narrowly defeated the Tijuana Luchadores in the Conference Championship game, as Zuh threw for 1 TD and 0 INTs. The ultimini was a relatively low scoring game, where Zuh's only touchdown was a rushing one. In the end, the Seawolves did enough to edge out the victory over the Kansas City Coyotes, and Zuh became an Ultimini Champion in his rookie season.

Season 36

Coming into Season 36, Zuh and the Seawolves were hungry for the same success they had achieved the season prior. Norfolk had many of its players get called up into the ISFL after Season 35, which weakened the reigning Ultimini Champions. Zuh began Week 1 of the season with an incredible game against the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. Pete threw for only 112 yards, but his rushing numbers broke Norfolk's single game record for rushing yards with 242 total. He was only 28 yards away from breaking the DSFL single game record. Despite his great rushing contributions, his passing game struggled. Through the first 5 games of the season Zuh threw for 7 touchdowns and 5 interceptions. This trend of mediocre play would continue throughout the season, with Zuh and the Seawolves struggling to win games. At 5-6 with 3 games left in the season, Norfolk only needed to win a couple more games to secure a playoff berth. Unfortunately, Zuh and the Seawolves had a bad 3 game run which all resulted in losses. Bondi Beach with a 4-7 record, went on to win 2 of the 3 final games of the season, which knocked Norfolk out of the playoffs. A disappointing end to a promising season for Pete.
