Scouts and coaches were regularly seen at his games.

DSFL career

S44

In Neil Bonnett's inaugural season with the Kansas City Coyotes in the DSFL, the tight end from Michigan wasted no time leaving his mark. Despite being a rookie, Bonnett showcased his talent with 29 receptions for 209 yards and a touchdown. His contributions were instrumental in the Coyotes' journey to the playoffs, where they displayed promise but ultimately fell short, ending the season on a bittersweet note. Neil talked a big game, and people were already setting high expectations of him in his rookie season. Although statistically it wasn’t a great year, he showed the potential of raising a few eyebrows in the seasons to come. As good as he was at scoring he was an even better blocker on the line. Setting running lanes and giving his Quarter back extra time in the pocket. Neil is as gaining the trust of not just his fans , but his teammates as well.

S45

Entering his second season in the DSFL, Neil Bonnett continued to elevate his game with the Kansas City Coyotes. His sophomore campaign saw significant growth as he recorded 50 receptions for 487 yards, establishing himself as a reliable target on the field. Bonnett's exceptional performance further solidified his status as a rising star in the league, drawing attention from ISFL scouts and setting the stage for his eventual transition to the professional level. He was in talks with the Chicago butchers who ended up drafting him in the mid second round of the season 46 ISFL Draft. Things were looking up for Neil as his performance on the field was starting to pay off. Neil and the coyotes had some what of an up and down season but eventually got hot late. They would go on to win their underdog matchups in the playoffs and go all the way to the mini. The coyotes fell short to the Tijuana luchadores 16-37

S46

In his final season with the Kansas City Coyotes in the DSFL, Neil Bonnett maintained his impressive standards, delivering consistent results on the field. With 40 receptions for 504 yards, the tight end once again proved his worth as a valuable asset to the team's offensive strategy. The coyotes were under new management this season, and Neil felt although his season wasn’t bad, he wanted to at-least make the playoffs and reclaim his chance for a mini. Despite his stellar individual performance, Bonnett's tenure with the Coyotes concluded as he awaited his opportunity to join the ranks of the ISFL. The coyotes had the worst record ending the season that Neil’s ever been a part of and he knew it was time to move on. His time in the DSFL served as a crucial stepping stone in his journey towards professional football glory, setting the stage for the next chapter in his career, the Chicago Butchers. The Butchers had been waiting on Neil to developer one more season before calling him up. They knew despite the lackluster season he had overall in his final tenure with Kansas , they were going to make the most of every opportunity with Neil.
