Joseph and Lisa owned a local real estate agency, where Morrisey interned over his summer breaks with the intention of taking over once Joseph and Lisa retired. During middle school, Morrisey began taking an interest in football, and joined the Central Middle School football team during his 7th grade year. In all 4 years of high school, he was chosen for the All Region team for Region 9. Morrisey was also chosen for the Texas All-State team during his junior and senior years, averaging 5.7 tackles and 6 sacks per game. In 2033, he had recieved multiple scouting offers, but ended up choosing to go to the University of Texas at Austin.
