Monty Ward (born October 11, 2028) is an American football linebacker who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Duke (DUKE) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Monty Ward was born in Toronto, Canada into a family filled with 'sport' royalty. His mother, father and three siblings all were into sports at a young age and so it was only fair that Monty himself would get into sports just the same. Though football was not his first choice, Monty became very excited about Football and was passionate about it once he actually began to play it fully. Monty was a bit of a smaller boy so playing linebacker also was not his first assigned option as his coach put him as a runningback, but as he grew in size, and gained a lot of strength, it was quite clear that runningback would not be his designated choice for position. After switching to Linebacker, Monty Ward found his place on the team and has become one of the most fierce competitors on the turf. He's been said to 'see red' when on the field with his opponents and will stop at nothing to hit people, so if you have the ball... expect to be hit.

College career

When Monty made it to college in 2048, his goal was simply to dominate, he had received a full-ride scholarship at the time to Duke and was willing & expecting to showcase all of his talents. As a freshman however, his aspirations looked to have been sidelined pretty quickly as the seniors on the team were taking up all of the playing spots. For the first half of his freshman season, he only played in relief of someone who got injured or tired, however as the season progressed, Monty continued to make a name for himself and was starting to become one of the hardest defenders to play against. Monty was learning techniques to help him shred defenses, get passed the opposing teams linemen and was finding the QB more times than someone had in recent history. Monty was doing a lot more than just growing big and strong and maintaining his weight, he was known to stay extremely late at night to watch tapes of himself and the team he was going up against to find his weakness, as well as theirs, and he would train endlessly to improve his game, while taking advantage of the weakness of others. In the end, Monty would make the full roster for the rest of his time with Duke and would remain a starter with them until getting drawn into the ISFL/DSFL and now is expecting to be drafted into the DSFL this off-season.
