Kit Houston (born April 13, 2023) is an American football kicker who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. She played college football for Guilford College (Guilford) and has declared her intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Kit Houston grew up in the suburb of Mosgiel, outside of Dunedin. She is of Scottish, Welsh, and Māori descent. From a young age she showed athletic prowess, winning an Otago regional championship with her junior basketball team. She also played soccer, field hockey, and rugby. She was introduced to gridiron football in Year 8 (equivalent to 7th grade in the American school system) by Adam Hilliard, a science teacher who was a former collegiate player. At seventeen, Houston attended an ISFL traveling event in Auckland, where she drew the attention of scouts. Her brother, Ryan Houston, is a reserve player for the New Zealand U20 All-Blacks rugby squad.

College career

Houston spent one year at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania before transferring to D-III Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, to join the football team. Houston handled punting, field goal, and PAT duties for the Quakers, and occasionally played linebacker and fullback. After three seasons, she graduated with a degree in education and gender studies and decided to set her sights on the ISFL.
