Kaguya Shinomiya (born January 1, 2028) is an American football quarterback for the Norfolk Seawolves of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Kaguya Shinomiya was born in Tokyo, Japan. She was born into a rich family, with her dad being Gan'an Shinomiya - head of the Shinomiya Zaibatsu, one of the largest conglomerates in modern-day Japan. While there were many positives to being related to Gan'an, there were also clear drawbacks, with Gan'an spending the vast majority of his time travelling around Japan visiting all the business ventures his conglomerate is a part of. This issue would only be exasperated when Nayotake - Kaguya's mother - would die from heart problems early in Kaguya's life. What this meant is that Kaguya had somewhat of a sheltered childhood, being brought up and protected by servant families paid for by her father. Without many avenues of friendship early in life, Kaguya would grow to be somewhat cold and calculated when interacting with those around her, choosing instead to focus more on things such as academics to get away from the tough life she had lived through up until that point. That was until high school where - upon recognising her lack of people skills - Kaguya decided to give certain sports a try, eventually finding American Football - a sport that plays into her strengths as a tactician in many ways.

College career

Kaguya walked on at Shuchiin Academy - one of the premier institutions in Japan for higher income families - and originally was seen as someone not ready to compete for a role in such a strong programme. At the beginning, due to a lack of real understanding of the game other than the basics, she tried out at numerous positions - such as Running Back and Cornerback. But neither of those seemed as good a fit as the premier position of Quarterback for a intelligent tactician like that of Kaguya. And so, the coaching staff gave her a shot to play there; once they saw the results, they never looked back. Kaguya played 1 season in the Shuchiin offense and blew other teams away; in 10 games she threw for 3,174 yards, topping those yards with 38 passing TDs and throwing only 3 interceptions. What really helped Kaguya's only season stand out was her rushing ability alongside this passing output: when asked to run, Kaguya tallied 768 yards along with 10 rushing TDs. In what was a true all-around effort, Kaguya helped Shuchiin to a win in the Koshien Bowl (the highest collegiate league in Japan), before setting off for foreign shores to pursue a full-time career in the ISFL.
