Jerald Chuprig (born March 7, 2045) is an American football safety who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for University of Missouri (Mizzou) before going undrafted in the 2067 ISFL Draft (S52).

Early years

"Jerald Chuprig was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas where he attended Shawnee Heights High School. His parents are lifelong Kansas residents, growing up in the nearby small rural towns of Ottawa and Pittsburgh. As a result of this, Jerald didn't leave Kansas until his middle school football team was invited to compete across the border in Missouri which left a huge impression on him. That small tournament trip was the driving factor to Jerald doubling down on his football career at a young age, and he soon became completely dedicated to participating in competitions where he could travel. He soon joined his school's Academic Team and a small extracurricular competitive poetry team in addition to the football team. His high school football career was split between defensive back and wide receiver with the distinction of making all-state varsity both junior and senior years. He was exceptionally motivated to learn the free safety position, and was able to record 10 interceptions in his junior year and 13 interceptions in his senior year. His defensive leadership was key in orchestrating the 2061 state championship victory where Shawnee Heights was able to hold their opponent to only 10 points. Academically, Jerald graduated at the top of his class and also led the school's Academic Team his junior and senior years. He also had several poems featured in contests and got to travel to many regional universities to do readings and earned enough prize money to buy his parents a reliable used car. He had enough collected poems to be able to self-publish his collected works when he was 18, titled _The Catcher in the Wheat_."

College career

"Given his academic and athletic achievements, Jerald had many choices for college but decided to commit to Mizzou on a full-ride scholarship as a safety where he played from 2061 until 2064. During the 2061 season as a true freshman, he didn't see much game time as he adjusted to the higher level of competition, but he was able to see a few snaps and even scored a walk-off pick six late in the year. In that offseason, he was able to win the starting safety position but struggled through the 2062 season to do anything spectacular. He was able to retain the starting position for the next season, when he had a breakout year with 6 interceptions and 18 passes defended over 12 games. Riding that success into his senior year, Jerald was stil a force to be reckoned with but saw far fewer targets so was only able to grab 3 interceptions and 12 passes defended, but racked up 35 tackles. Continuing his poetry career, Jerald also self-published a rap album of songs entirely about his football career called _Fortune and Game_."
