Iosefa Ma'afala (born July 10, 2033) is an American football defensive end who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Notre Dame and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Iosefa Fuamatu Ma'afala was bron on the halloween of 2031. His birthday would be fitting to him as later on in his life and especially on the football field he would be described as a monter, beast and someone or something that every tackle would fear having to go against. Born to a small family of 4 in Apia Samoa Iosefa grew up loving the sport of football. As he said in a 2052 ESPN interview "I coulden't stop playing, I would sacrafice my well being just to get one more snap in" This hard work payed off as in just his freshmen year he would become the starting DE at Avele College Prep. He would have an amazing time become an All-American all 4 years he was there. His team even won the National Highschool Championship due to big plays made by Iosefa. He was named the best defensive player in all of Samoa his senior year and would eventually go on to play at Notre Dame.

College career

As a true freshman Iosefa didn't see much playing time, only playing a total of 10 snaps in his first season. His second season was drastically different. After the previous starting Defensive Ends went to the NFL it left for a gap that Iosefa took. As a sophmore Iosefa shined. Having one of the best seasons for a DE at Notre Dame history. Having a whopping 75 tackles with 35 assists. In just the same season he recorded an outstanding 9 sacks. He later went on to win the Jim Thorpe award later that season. Notre Dame had an amazing playoff run thanks to their dominant defense but would be stopped the LSU in the Semi Finals. His Junior season would be his last as he would go to the draft. Knowing this was his last season in Notre Dame Iosefa topped his Sophmore stats with 82 Tackles 36 Assists and 11 Sacks. He would go on to win not only the Jim Thorpe award but also the Chuck Bednarik award. Notre Dame would win the College Football Playoffs Championship and Iosefa would be named the MVP.

DSFL career

2054

In his rookie season of the DSFL Iosefa was drafted by the Norfolk Seawolves, a solid contender for the Ultimini. Iosefa would have a couple of above average preformances. In his first few games although Norfolk started off the season bottom of their division. Iosefa contributed to their 8 game win streak from week 8 to the Conference Championships in their eventual defeat of the Dallas Birdogs. Iosefa would only record one sack that season in Week 7 vs the Portland Pythons. The Norfolk Seawolves would enter the playoffs at a record of 9-5 being tied with the Kansas City Coyotes for the best record. In the Conference Championship Iosefa would be dominant, responsible for multiple 3rd down stops eventually the Seawolves would squeek by on a field goal and face the Kansas City Coyotes in the Ultimini. There Iosefa would record 8 tackles and 1 Tackle for loss, but this feat would be outshined by their 20+ point loss.

2055

Following the dissapointing loss, Iosefa would start working harder then he ever did, stating in a 2054 interview with ESPN, "I didn't want to end my minors career without an Ultimini". The Seawolves would have a strong start to the season, going on a 3 game win streak before losing a one posession game to the Kansas City Coyotes, then followed by a shocking loss to the London Royals. This would be their final losing streak, going 10-4 in the season being tied for the number #1 record in the DSFL with Bondi Beach. Iosefa had a slower season, only having 34 tackles with 3 Sacks. Norfolk was seen as the favorite to win the Ultimini, in multiple reports, prior to their playoff game against BBB, the team went on many parties staying up late. This would later go on to crash them, as they got eliminated by the eventual champions BBB. Following this Iosefa would be called up to his ISFL Affiliate, The Orange County Otters.
