Golden Ericksen (born May 29, 2043) is an American football wide receiver who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for the University of Arizona (UA) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Golden's story began long before he was born, rooted deep in the rugged landscapes of Norway. Golden's father, Lars Eriksen, was a fisherman and a pretty good rugby player of some renown. He played for the Stavanger Vikings for a period of time. His mother, Ingrid, was a skilled potter and weaver. Golden was the youngest of five children. Unlike his siblings who were all born in the small coastal village of Fjellstrand, Golden was born in America. Yes, in early 2040, Lars and Ingrid made the difficult decision to leave their homeland in search of better opportunities. With dreams of a brighter future for their children, they emigrated to America, eventually settling in the fertile lands of the Sacramento Valley, and had their last child, Golden, who was born in Sacramento at Sutter Memorial Hospital. By this time, Lars and Ingrid had become farmers. Golden was a natural athlete. From a young age, he showed remarkable talent and determination, whether he was helping on the farm or playing sports with his friends. Football soon became his passion. Golden was a four-sport star at nearby Pierce High School. He was on the Sacramento Valley League ""All-League team"" three times and, was MVP of the league in his senior year, and culminated his high school career by playing in the annual Optimist All-Star Football Classic.

College career

Golden was considered a three-star prospect and was recruited by several schools, mostly in the West. After a visit to the University of Arizona, he committed to play for the Wildcats. Golden was a fan favorite with his name and blonde locks however he did not get to play much as he was behind a future All-American at WR. Golden stayed with it and was able to work with a strength coach to bulk up to his current weight. He was now tougher to bring down once he caught a pass and had the endurance to add to his YAC (yards after catch). Ericksen always displayed good hands and with his height, he was an easy target for his QB. By his sophomore year, Golden saw more playing time. He caught 40 passes for 708 yards and 7 touchdowns. In his junior year at Arizona, Golden started every game and was the quarterback's favorite target. He made the reformed Pac-12's All-League Team with 75 catches, 1082 yards, and 12 touchdowns. By his senior year, Ericksen was a pre-season AP All-American. He did not disappoint. In his last year at Arizona, he had 92 receptions for 1543 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was as good a possession receiver as Arizona has ever had but he also had the skill and speed to break the long gainer. Ericksen finished second in the Fred Biletnikoff Award to Ohio St star DaColdest Crawford.
