Dylan Duma (born August 8, 2034) is an American football tight end who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Boston College (BC) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Dylan was born in Prague into a Military Family, but only remained briefly - moving a total of seven times before settling down in Worcester, MA at the age of eleven. While in Europe, he would split his time between Ice Hockey and Voleyball depending on the season. It wasn't until his family moved back to the USA that he started to garner an interest in football, joining his High School's team at the age of 14. He spent the next four years split between multiple different positions, taking advantage of his stature against the young competition. His retired parents, Eric and Cynthia Duma, spent their days supporting his endeavors while instilling a strong sense of work ethic and academic importance. By his Junior year, he had settled into the role of Tight End, although he lacked much permanent playing time until his Senior season. With a focus on remaining close to home and best furthering his education, he elected to attend Boston College without a scholarship.

College career

Dylan redshirted as a walk-on his Freshman year, a decision he fully supported knowing that his goal was to obtain a Masters in five years at Boston College. His first year was primarily spent training, learning schemes at a higher level, and assisting off-the-field - nothing glamorous by any means, but it allowed him to learn the ropes of playing in College while focusing on his studies at the same time. During his Redshirt Freshman season, Duma saw minimal playing time as the backup TE. He was primarily used as a gadget player on special teams, for blocking on run plays, and as a relatively safe check-down option as needed. This minimal playing time saw him catch 11 passes for 60 yards, with one Touchdown. That said, he was noted as a team player both on and off the field, helping with team functions, fundraising, and camps while happy to accept the snaps he was given.

In his third year, he saw more playtime. While still not the 1st string TE, he was a serviceable receiver noted for steady hands and competitiveness, while serviceable in the blocking game and on special teams. While he only started in three games, with a season total of 30 receptions for 280 yards and two touchdowns, he continued to assist the team off-the-field and his larger community. Dylan would note that his most important achievement this year was winning both an Academic Achievement and Community Service Award for his work within the community while maintaining a strong GPA. His final two seasons saw him to continue to develop as both a player and a steward of his community, while finally earning the starting role in his final year of eligibility. These last two years saw a combined 80 receptions for 1050 yards, as well as continued use in both run/pass blocking and special teams. While not a generational prospect by any means, Dylan proved his commitment both to his team and greater community through five years of determination and effort - the same skills his parents had instilled in him from a young age. Graduating with a Masters in Public Health, Dylan decided to put his career on hold to see if he could make it at the professional level - knowing that being able to fully focus on the field will do nothing but continue to bring positive change in a young, competitive player.

After deciding to join the DSFL draft, Dylan Duma immediately saw attention from a number of developmental teams looking to add a boost to their offense with a strong, utility player with a proven record of performing at all stages of the field. He was ultimately selected fifth overall by the Bondi Beach Buccaneers in the S42 DSFL Draft. While not a statistically significant season compared to other TEs in the league when it came to passing yards, Duma still put up impressive numbers with flexibility in his positioning throughout the season. Starting in the Wide Receiver role, he was shifted around to special teams and other utility positions before ultimately being moved back to the primary TE position after strong waiver pickups on the offensive side of the ball. While only putting up receiving numbers similar to his best season in College, it proved he had the ability to develop and sustain himself at the professional level. He also saw early success in run blocking, with the most pancakes of any non-OL player by far and posting in the top 20 overall. This considerable amount of flexibility throughout the offense saw him taken 7th overall by the Colorado Yeti of the ISFL.

S43

Duma saw continued playing time as a started in S43, albeit with a much bigger amount of his time playing flexed to wideout. While still used in the slot and more traditional TE roles, less attention was put on his usage when it comes to blocking - still netting 15 pancakes and no sacks allowed, but instead using his increased speed and playmaking ability to move the ball downfield as the BBB rushing room struggled to gain traction in some games. This saw his total yards gained increase to 700, despite his total share of receptions dropping. Relying more on using his size to break tackles with a mix of speed on the outside, he saw considerable success on larger plays opposed to his dink and dunk reception tendency in S42. His last season in the DSFL, Duma would go without making it to the playoffs. He stated this was "a disappointment, but one he hopes to grow from in the future" while promising BBB fans a strong return in S44 with the team that was left.

Drafted in the first round by the Yeti, he is expected to be called up while switching to RB - helping take advantage of his newly developed speed to contribute to his new offense in new ways.

S44

With the start of her professional career at the upper level, Swamp Maiden was moved to the RB position to take advantage of her newly gained speed and existing ability when it came to receiving. While she managed to develop considerably throughout the season, her carries were limited heavily by a split backfield that saw her only capture 45% of the year's carries. That said, she started seeing considerable success as the season went on - with multiple 100+ yard games despite the share of carries. This shift saw her role as a blocker diminish greatly, instead used as a gadget option both in receiving punts on special teams and as an outlet in the passing game. Still, success was limited as the Yeti offense struggled to get going for most of the year.

With Offseason training underway, Swamp Maiden is expected to get the lion's share of carries moving into S55 - and with it, has promised to provide a flashy, speedy style of play that'll shock those that followed her career throughout the DSFL.
