Top Storylines:

Lane Frost Injury Update:
Lane Frost finished the game last night vs. Portland with an impressive stat-line from a rookie vs veteran matchup. Frost was dealing with an injury from week 1 of the preseason. He said he might of aggravated it during the game. Frost was held out of Fridays practice and is listed as questionable for week 2 vs London.

SchwarzNarr Is Stepping Away:
One of the main girls in the server, SchwarzNarr is stepping away from all duties in the ISFL. This storyline was discovered right before week 1 of the DSFL season. Her player, Moose, is retiring after this year which will be the end of her ISFL/DSFL career.

Frost vs Laz:
With week 1 of DSFL action underway, we were bound to see lots of rookies on the field. One in particular stood out above the rest, not because of a good performance or leadership, but controversy. Lane Frost was lined up against lockdown corner, The Laz, then late in the game, Frost threw a punch after Laz after Laz had hit Frost late. Frost walked off the field staring right at Laz yelling "Fuck you, I'll get you next time!" Frost had 7 catches for 70 yards on 16 targets, which is not bad for a debut. Laz and Frost had heated discussions during and after the game. Frost was asked about the moment after the game stating: "I was just caught up in the moment. I have nothing but respect for him [Laz]. And I want to make up with him soon. But we will always be rivals, seeing that we will line up against each other two times a year in a battle for the Conference." When Laz was asked about the incident this is what he said: "Hes a rookie, it happens. You just got to learn and go on. I really want to swap my jersey with him, seeing as he had such a great game. And I will admit, I did hit him late, but you got to move on. I'm not gonna be thinking about it after today." The two met up in the press hallway later, and they did make up and swap jerseys.

Cedric Wilkins II Update:
Wilkins arrived at Florida earlier than usual, which shows his rift between his teammates and him. Wilkins was seen with his mom and a younger woman, which nobody knows their connections to each other. Wilkins would not let reporters near both of them. He has been seen with Peter Patterson for most of his time, stated by woelkers. Wilkins performance has teams watching him closely seeing as he might be cut or traded soon. But his relationship seen with the Sailfish players is much different then his relationship with any other teams. Wilkins has been rebellious against his new team since his departure from the DSFL. More updates to come soon.

WildfireMicro Is The Second To Go:
With Micro leaving that will be another member gone from the ISFL, and a big member at that. Micro has struggled with mental health for awhile now and is in bad condition. She might come back, but that is TBD. All we can hope, is that he gets better soon.

Interview w/The Stig:

Interviewer: "What are your thoughts on your new team?"

The Stig: "Portland was in my top 2 of hoping to land in the draft. I've been around Tim in a few spots and I was looking forward to playing for him and Portland. I'm excited to get in there and hopefully help them capture a ultimini."

Interviewer: "What do you bring to Portland?"

The Stig: "Well firstly, just an experienced user, been apart of the league's war room for a year and a half now, and also try to bring activity to the LR and a new set of eyes on a scouting and strats. Also, as a player, a max earner, who holds, multiple league positions and will continue to push as fast as I can to cap, to have the best possible player on the field."

Interviewer: "What makes this team so special?"

The Stig: "I think a combination of things. They have a good set of users already here, they also hit well in the draft. I think as an offense we are going to be one to be reckoned with. Also, the leadership and experience is a plus."

Interviewer: "Ok. I am out of time. Thank you for your time, Stig. Enjoy your rookie season."

The Stig: "Hey, I really appreciate you bringing me in to be apart of the first ever DSFL magazine. It really is a honor. I just want to tell the ISFL GMs to be on the watch, I plan to take over the DSFL and I'm not gonna stop there. And thank you to Portland for bringing me in and letting me be apart of this organization."

Season 32 DSFL Draft - Beast or Reach:

The season 32 draft for the DSFL has concluded. I would like to give my opinions on the top 5 players in this draft.

1. Bondi Beach: WR - Marvin Toledo (aka @mook), Syracuse | REACH I was really impressed with Toledo in the prospect games, but I didn't have him in the top 10 sadly. I'm going to have to give this one a REACH. It's not that he is not a good player, it's that he lacked consistency, which is what the Bucs need right now, seeing as they had the 1oa pick. I'm sure he will be a good player, but until he proves me wrong, he will still be a REACH.

2. London: LB - Nick Flint (aka @Talls), Ohio State | BEAST This is a sure fire BEAST of a pick. I had Flint going as the number 1oa pick in my mock draft. His ability to rush and cover are great assets to London's team right now. Did I mention his speed. He has the potential to be as fast as a CB. And he has the assets to switch to the D-line if he really wanted to. Overall a great pick.

3. Portland: RB - The Stig (aka @SomeSay...), Karting Academy | BEAST Two BEAST picks in a row, what is this madden, well The Stig plays like it is sometimes. He is a cutback runner that doesn't mind going right through you. He is fast and also allusive. He can brake off a big run at any time (see what I did there). He can stop and go on a dime and is also decent in the receiving game. Not to mention he was the first player to be featured on the cover of DSFL Weekly. The Stig will be a great player and savvy to. I wish him the best.

4. Tijuana: DE - Leonardo McTurtle (aka @KaleSalad), Shaolin Temple | REACH I am very sorry that I have to do this, but this is a REACH of a pick. Some people had him going as late as the 3rd round. I had him as a mid-late 2nd round pick myself. He played well in the Prospect Bowl, but as a lot of players did, lacked consistency. He got a lot of hits on the QB, but so did his teammates. I hope he does well in the future, but for now he is a REACH.

5: Minnesota: DT - Daron Arnold (aka @TubaDeus), Illinois | BEAST This is not just a BEAST because he is a fellow Minnesota draftee. He shows what he can do, on and off the field. He is a great player and I even had him going 2oa. This pick was meant to be. This helps Minnesota all together. They needed help stopping the run after last season. Arnold looks like a sure fire player for the Ducks going forward. He is going to be a max earner and very good leader in the Locker Rooms. No further questions, this is a BEAST of a pick.
