Chris Kross (born December 22, 2014) is an American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL). He played college football for University of Hawaii (UH) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Chris Kross was born to Mike and Elen Kross in Honolulu Hawaii. From a young age Kross was shown to be a gifted athlete being recruited to Saint Louis before he attended middle school. Kross attended Saint Louis School, where he played wide reciever and his junior and senior season he earned a role as a captain of the team. He also played basketball as a point guard all four years and one of the captains his senior year for the Crusaders. He earned scholorships for both football and basketball and needed to make a decision which sport he would look to pursue in college. His father was a well known basketball player but, Kross loved football and decieded to go that route. To still honor his father he decided to attend his father Mike Kross's alma mater even though they were not as great of a team as some of his other offers. He took a full ride scolarship University of Hawaii even though he was not going there for basketball.

College career

Kross's first few games of his freshman year were spent on the bench. It wasn't untill his third game when star reciever John Doe had a season ending injury that Kross got his shot to play in a game. He made an immediate impact catching two game changing touchdowns, one of which ended up being the game winning score. He had a solid rest of his freshman year leading the team in all recieving categories without having played the first two games of the season. There was a lot of hope for him coming into his sophmore season but, it didn't turn out as well as he hoped. He had a good year but regressed from his freshman numbers. There was a lot of sceptism if he could make it in the DSFL or if he has already stagnated as a player. His junior year he put all that talk to rest by having a breakout season. He led his conference in both receptions and recieveing touchdowns. He also led the nation in receiving yard's. He broke University of Hawaii's all time single season records for receptions, recieving yards and recieving touchdowns. He led his team to a spot in the College Football Playoffs as the number 3 seed but ended up falling to Alabama in the first round. His senior season he didn't quite reach the numbers he had his previous year but it he still led his conference in all categories and made it to the College Football Playoffs as the 4 seed. This time they beat Clemson in the first round and faced Alabama in the final. This time he got his revenge with 142 recieving yards and 3 touchdowns as they win Univeristy of Hawaii's first College Foootball Championship. He was being scouted as a potential first round pick coming into the combine.
