Williard Dub Redd (born October 10, 2030) is an American football defensive tackle who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Barry Sanders University (BSU) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

"Williard Redd, also known as Dub Redd or W.Redd for short, grew up and attened High School in Springdale, Arkansas. Dub was an only child and the son of Springdale HS legend all time passing leader Bill Redd. Dub's high school football career started off promising as he started at Quarterback and broke several of the schools freshman passing records in his first year. Dub would suffer an unfortunate injury to his throwing hand in the first game of his Sophomore year, requiring intensive surgery and a club-like cast which earned him the nickname Dub ""The Club"" Redd. Unable to properly throw or handle a ball, Dub made the switch to defense where he would go onto be a force of nature as a pass rusher on the interior defensive line. In his Senior year Dub would total 52 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, and 12 sacks as the Springdale Bulldogs went 8-1 and a playoff birth with a devastating loss in the second round District Final. Dub was recruited as a 2 star prospect by his fathers alma mater Barry Sanders University(formely known as Oklahoma State University)."

College career

"Despite attending his father's alma mater, the story was much different for Dub coming in as an young and undersized Defensive Tackle, and not a Quartback like his father. Dub didn't contribute much aside from Special Teams work during his Freshman and Sophomore years at BSU. However, his determination and locker room presence certainly didn't go unnoticed among his teammates and coaches earning commodations as the team's ""Strong Man"" for his exceptional attendance and performance in the weight room. In his Junior year, Dub would finally make it into the pass rushing rotation on a situational/down basis. Redd totaled 19 tackles including 3.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles on the season in just 6 games before his season was cut short with a Meniscus tear in his right knee.

Dub would make a full recovery from his knee injury, and in his Senior year Dub would draw national attention with a breakout season. Taking over as the full time starter at Defensive Tackle, Dub would total 47 tackles, 15.5 tackles for a loss and 10.5 sacks earning All-Big 12 honors."
