Tyron Lyle Brackenridge (born January 26, 2006) is an American football safety for the Kansas City Coyotes of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for University of Maryland (Maryland) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Tyron Brackenridge was born in Ottawa, Canada on June 26th 2009 and was born to Janelle and Demar Brackenridge. Mother Janelle has been involved within several different sports organizations as a personal trainer and father Demar has been a head coach for the St. Matthew Tigers in Ottawa.

This sports background and the competitive battles between siblings drove Tyron to the football field where he was able to excel from a young age. Tyron initially was on the offensive side of the ball but made the switch to the defensive side in highschool as his father trusted him to be the captain of the defense. 2 out of the 3 seasons he started he was named to the All-Provincial Team and once was named to the All-National team. Throughout his seasons with the St. Matthew Tigers he was labeled as ""The Tackle Maestro"" as he excelled in fighting through holes and securing open field tackles with ease.

Although his highschool stats didn't jump off the page his ability to run a defense and to lead other players was evident. Within his senior season with the St. Matthew Tigers he posted 104 tackles, 6 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions, and 3 sacks at the linebacker position. Despite receiving numerous offers to play within Canada at various Universities, Tyron chose to take his only offer from an American school to play for the Maryland Terrapins.

Former highschool teamates have been quoted about Tyron's drive to learn and understand the nuances of the American game compared to the Canadian one. Lastly, after his senior season he decided to switch over to the safety position as he felt his skills transitioned better to that position in the American game rather than linebacker.

College career

Tyron Brackenridge attended the University of Maryland for three seasons before declaring for the draft. Tyron also managed to avoid being redshirted his first season as he continued to learn the new rules and playbook and primarily played as a box safety but say more field time towards the end of the season.

Tyron was able to build upon the success of his freshman season and was named the starter, which lead to a much more productive season with his highlight of the season coming in their bowl game as he notched 8 tackles, 2 interceptions, and one touchdown.

His junior season was arguably his best season as he became accustomed to the game and leading the defense with all his collegiate career highs coming in his final season with 63 tackles, 3 interceptions, 5 forced fumbles, and 2 touchdowns. After much deliberation he decided to declare for the draft evem though he could've continued to grow upon his best season yet but he was quoted addressing this by stating, ""fuck this. I'm tryna make the big leagues." Although the accolades didn't continue into his collegiate career he was still named to All-American 2nd team in his Junior season and voted as the Most Improved by his teammates in his sophomore season. Lastly, Tyron Brackenridge hopes to be a household name and career starter after his time in the DSFL.
