Tim Soulja was born in City Trial, Dream Land where he also was raised alongside his seven older brothers. As the youngest Soulja, he grew a competitive spirit where he always tried to prove himself to be the best of his siblings.

Like many young adults in City Trial, Soulja grew a fondness for Air Ride racing, where he primarily competed against his brothers, who were also notoriously skilled. He entered five local tournaments after he turned 12, the youngest an air rider is allowed to participate. In his fifth tournament, Soulja finished in 1st in racing, 2nd in battles, and 1st in minigames. The final tally announced Soulja as the overall champion, finally besting his older brother Pink, the reigning champion.
