Sean O'Leary (born September 10, 2010) is an American football wide receiver who is currently signed by the Chicago Butchers of the NSFL. He played one season in the DSFL for the Portland Pythons where he won the Ultimini.

Early Years

Sean O'Leary was born in Livermore, California at Valley Memorial Hospital to mother Judy O'Leary and Jeb O'Leary. He was the middle child of 3 kids and the only boy. His mother enrolled him into the East County Youth Football league at the age of 10 where he would play for the Liberty Lions and win the Turkey Bowl in an undefeated season.

At a young age, he played many different positions at the request of his coaches. It wasn't until he reached high school where his size and speed were beyond his peers. Initially, his head coach tried him at running back, but O'Leary struggled to produce from the backfield. After one of his teammates moved to another school it left a starting wide receiver position open.

The coaching staff began to explore the possibility of O'Leary playing wide receiver. The major concern was that he had never played that position before. To their surprise, O'Leary flourished at the position. His size and speed allowed him to dominate one on one battles and caused defense schemes to double team him leaving them exposed to the Lions lethal run game. He would finish his high school playing days a state champion and still holds the most reception, yards, and touchdowns in a single season by a wide receiver.

College Career

During his college years, O'Leary would attend Stanford University in 2028 and earn the spot of their number two wide receiver in his freshmen year. He would lead all wide receivers that season in yards and touchdowns. The team would go on to be back to back PAC 12 Conference Champions, finishing with a 7 - 2 record. They would meet up against the Michigan State Spartans, where they would fall short in a losing effort in the Rose Bowl game.

O'Leary would take the defeat pretty hard and it affected his play the 2029 season. Unable to find his game, the Stanford Cardinals would finish the season just 5 - 4.

In 2030, Sean O'Leary came out with a vengeance. He once again led all wide receivers that season in all major offensive categories. Leading the Stanford Cardinals to an 8 - 1 record and winning another PAC 12 Conference Championship. After a heartbreaking loss to the Michigan State Spartans in his freshmen year, O'Leary found himself in the 2030 Rose Bowl against the Iowa Hawkeyes. He would deliver in the biggest game of his career, finishing with 14 receptions, 193 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. He would carry the Stanford Cardinals to a 41 - 16 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes. With O'Leary being 3 years removed from his high school playing days, he has declared himself eligible for the NSFL draft.

DSFL Career

Sean O'Leary was drafted in season 18 in the 2nd round, 11th overall by the Portland Pythons. The young rookie wide receiver would join a team with Jay Cue at quarterback and Jake Dropson as the teams number 1 wide receiver. The Portland Pythons had been on the cusp of winning a championship for awhile, but haven't been able to get over that hump. Sean O'Leary would run as the teams number 2 wide receiver behind Dropson. The Portland Pythons would finish the season 11-3 and win the NFC North. Sean O'Leary would finish his rookie season with 58 receptions, 795 yards and 9 touchdowns. He would lead ALL wide receivers in finding the end zone. In the semi-finals the Portland Pythons would find themselves matched up against the Kansas City Coyotes. O'Leary would help lead his team to victory with 49 yards and 2 touchdowns in a 28-17 win. The Portland Pythons would finally make it to the Ultimini, facing the San Antonio Marshals. The Pythons would take a commanding 23-7 lead by the end of the 3rd quarter and never look back. They would go on to beat the San Antonio Marshals 23-10 and become Ultimini Champions. O'Leary would finish the night with 4 receptions for 68 yards.

NSFL Career

After a dominating rookie performance and championship in the DSFL, O'Leary would find himself as a top wide receiver going into the season 19 draft. The Chicago Butchers would select him in the first round, 4th overall. The team was rebuilding and had a few years before it would compete. The Chicago Butchers would find themselves surrounded in drama as one of the prospects would turn the team upside down. The drama led to the GM stepping down and some players requesting trades. The rebuild was not going well and the team had a big black mark on it to attract any free agents in the foreseeable future. O'Leary unsure of his future in the NSFL he focused on his training in the off season. As the season neared, the Chicago Butchers new GM informed him that he would be an immediate call up to help get this team back on track. As the season progressed, O'Leary felt that he was being mismanaged and underutilized. Rumors had it that the team GM was catering to the player that started the drama in the off season in hopes of keeping him as he was on a one year deal. O'Leary was unhappy and looked to declare himself a free agent at the end of the season. The team would add new management mid season and things began to slowly change. O'Leary would find himself as the teams number 1 wide receiver. He would finish the season with 70 receptions for 916 yards and 2 touchdowns. He would lead all rookie wide receivers in yards. The Chicago Butchers would still finish dead last in the league at 3-11, but O'Leary would stick around for season 20.
