Pete "Plop" Miller (born January 1, 2014) is an American football defensive tackle for the Arizona Outlaws of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He previously played for the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers and Norfolk Seawolves of the DSFL. He played college football for the University of Kentucky.

Early years and personal life

Pete was born in Lexington, KY to a mother and father of unknown identity and has at least one brother. He is very secretive, and not much is known of his early life. He loves Die Hard and can recite every line. Outside of football, he enjoys boxing, tennis, NASCAR, and The Amazing Race. Known for always taking dumps, he earned the nickname of "Plop".

He is married to Kelly Hannon and has two sons, Jim and Dwight. They live in a 320 sqft tiny house that Kelly won from a scratch-off ticket. Rumors have circulated that Plop skipped a possible 5th year of eligibility in order to make money to cover Kelly's gambling debts.

High school career

He attended Dunbar and lettered all four years. His team won the state championship twice, and Plop set the all-time single season sack record for the state of Kentucky during his junior year. He was a 4* recruit with multiple D1 offers, and he eventually committed to his hometown Wildcats.

College career

Plop made an immediate impact as a true freshman, appearing in all 13 games (starting in the last 3). He was a dominant force in his sophomore season starting all 13 games, earning 2nd team All-SEC honors, and was the MVP of the Music City Bowl where he had 3 sacks, 2.5 TFL, and the game winning interception.

Unfortunately, he suffered a knee injury filming his audition for The Amazing Race, and he missed all of his Junior season. Despite not seeing the field, he developed his leadership skills and was an influential presence in the locker room. Coach Stoops mentioned him in his end of season speech, specifically citing his mentoring of the young defensive line.

Desperate to get back on the field, he recorded 5.5 sacks in the first two games of his senior season. He struggled during SEC play and finished the year with 9.5 sacks.

Myrtle Beach Buccaneers

S19

Due to the aforementioned money issues, he entered the DSFL mid-season. He landed with the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers and reported to the team in December of 2019. Although he spent less than one month on the team, he quickly developed a strong pirate accent. Many of his posts are pirate-related and his accent often comes through in his writing.

Norfolk Seawolves

S20

After his unceremonious release from Myrtle Beach, he entered the DSFL S20 draft where he was drafted with the second pick in the 10th round (56 overall) by the Norfolk Seawolves. Part of a strong defensive line, Plop finished in the top three of DTs in tackles, tackles for loss, and sacks. He was tied for the DT lead with two forced fumbles. The Seawolves made the playoffs with the third-best record, but lost in the wildcard game to Myrtle Beach, Pete's former team. The defense played poorly, giving up 43 points, including 24 in the 4th quarter. His last game in the DSFL was a disappointment on an individual level as well; Miller only registered 2 tackles in the game.

Arizona Outlaws

S21

Miller was drafted by the Arizona Outlaws with the fourth pick in the second round (14th overall). He promptly signed a 3-year, $9 million contract and reported to the team in February 2020. One of the more interesting contracts signed that year, Pete sacrificed millions of dollars in order to include the following clause: "Pete Miller shall be allowed to watch every new episode of The Amazing Race, and he will be exempt from team activities/obligations 15 minutes prior to the show, during the show, and one hour after the show has ended".

Although he didn't put up huge numbers on the field, he became one of the most active young Outlaws. He revived the team's twitter account for the first time in nearly one and a half years. He also participated in scouting the huge S22 class, earning praise from his team leadership.
