Neil Bonnet (born May 2, 2000) is an American football tight end for the Chicago Butchers of the National Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years

Neil Bonnet, grew up in Lansing Michigan with his mother and younger sister Emily. Neil’s Father was in the military and lost his life fighting for his country when Neil was only 7 years old. His father was an Offensive linemen for The college football team Michigan wolverines. Neil’s little sister has hip displacement and is bound to a wheel chair. Neil often fought off bullies and anyone who was rude or mean to his sister. His mother worked 3 jobs so she could feed her kids and support Neil’s dream of playing football. Neil played QB in pee-we as well as linebacker. In high school Neil played for the penguins at Roosevelt high in Lansing, he was a tight end and wide receiver. Breaking state records for yards after catch and broken tackles. He wasn’t always very fast but for his size he was. Players had a hard time tackling Neil who was already 6’4 220 as a freshman. The penguins won 2 state championships while Neil played. As well as landing himself as an All American, he was the best ranked TE in the country coming out of high school. Scouts and coaches were regularly seen at his games.

College career

Right after state championships In high school we’re complete, Neil took the podium , with three hats sitting on the table. Too no surprise, he lifted the Navy Blue and yellow Michigan Wolverines hat. The same hat his father wore. An emotional moment for Bonnett and his family. As a red shirt freshman , Neil had more than big expectations from his coaches. In Neil’s first College game he caught 4 catches for 132 yards and 2 touchdowns with 5 Brocken tackles. He would end his rookie season with 71 catches 1400 yards and 25 touchdowns. A historic season for not just a player but especially a tight end. Neil’s draft stock rose through the roof as many teams contemplated pursuing him in the pros after his rookie year. Neil became the first right end in college history to win the Heisman. Yet after falling short In the college football playoffs, Neil would decide to stay in college for 1 more season. He ended his sophomore season with 52 catches 800 yards and 14 touchdowns. Neil missed 5 games due to “turf toe” and a hip injury. In time for the playoffs Neil returned to action , the wolverines faced the Ohio state buccaneers in the FBS Championship game. The wolverines won 45-35 and Neil went for 7 catches 200 yards and 3 touchdowns and was Named MVP of the game. ``` ```
