Miller Light (born October 18th, 2039) is an American football safety for the Sarasota Sailfish of the International Simulation Football League (ISFL). He previously played in Norfolk for the Seawolves. He played 3 games with the Portland Pythons prior to being drafted into the DSFL.

Early years

Miller has a long history with football and family connections to the ISFL and DSFL. He is originally from Morgantown, West Virginia and always dreamed of playing for the Mountaineers. His uncle, Busch Light, played for the University of Alabama before being drafted by the London Royals 14th overall in season 23. He was then drafted to the New Orleans Second line in Season 24. He won one Ultimini with the London Royals, but did not do much with the Second line. Unfortunately, his uncle had to step back from the league before his potential was truly realized. Out of high school Miller Light was highly recruited. He played both sides of the ball at Morgantown, High School (wide receiver and free safety). His team won state his Junior year, but the team was plagued with injuries his senior year leaving a lot left unfinished. He was designated to the all-state team and was a five star recruit of high school. He took a scholarship from West Virginia University where he started on both sides of the ball.

College career

At West Virgnia, the team was not achieving the goals that Miller set out to achieve. He wanted a National Championship, and between poor quarterback play and high coaching turnover, he was not able to reach his true potential. When the transfer portal opened a number of teams reached out, but Vanderbilt was able to guarantee that he would start at Free Safety. From there he was able to hone his skills on the defensive side of the ball. He was always looking to making the big play, interceptions and the pick-six. Altogether, the environment was great, and it was beneficial playing against top tier talent in the SEC. His final year at Vanderbilt he led the SEC in interceptions and led the team in tackles and defensive touchdowns. Miller was never able to bring home a National Championship, but hopes to reach the Ultimini and Ultimus in the DSFL and ISFL.

DSFL career

Miller Light got an early start on the main stage in S44. Ahead of the S45 DSFL Draft, Miller was picked up by the Portland Pythons in their push for the Ultimini. He started two games and had as many touchdowns. Miller credits this experience to his poise on the field in S45. Having experience on the big essential was essential to his comfort on the field.

After being drafted by the Norfolk Seawolves, he became an icon on the defense despite being a rookie. His rookie season included 2 interceptions, 2 sacks, a forced fumble, and 40 tackles. This put him in a good position heading into the S46 ISFL Draft. Unfortunately, the Seawolves underperformed in S45, finishing the season 3-11.

ISFL Draft

Heading into the draft there was a lot of buzz around Miller Light. A suspected first round draft pick with top-5 TPE in the draft class, Miller fell to the second round similar to his uncle Busch Light. Interestingly, Miller was selected 17th overall, the same as his predecessor Busch. The Sarasota Sailfish traded up for Miller securing two important defensive picks in the first two rounds. Miller is expected to be a key player on the Sarasota defense. After being drafted, he immediately hit the weight room with a focus on increasing his speed to compete at the next level.
