Lip Gallagher (born March 29, 2020) is an American football cornerback for the Baltimore Hawks of the International Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years
Lip Gallagher was born in the South Side of Chicago, Illinois to Monica and Frank Gallagher. He was the second oldest sibling with an older sister (Fiona), a younger sister (Debbie) and three younger brothers (Ian, Carl, Liam). Lip was a very smart student in high school and received a scholarship to a local University, Illinois State University. Lip also enjoyed playing football during high school, playing for his high school team. He was very protective of his younger siblings and often times, that caused him to get in some legal troubles. Although, he was very smart, Lip did not take advantage of that, but rather, used awful judgement and got himself into hot water a lot of times. Despite those troubles, Lip was able to stay out of trouble long enough that he was able to keep his scholarship intact and go off to attend University. To do that, he had to complete a GED exam, as he dropped out and did not graduate from high school.
College career
Lip started his University football career at Illinois State University, located in Normal, Illinois and was the third string cornerback in his freshman year, coming off the bench in certain situations as well as starting a couple of games when injuries arose. He put up seventeen tackles and a single interception for the Redbirds that year. As a sophmore, he trained hard during the off-season and training camp, which awarded Lip a promotion to one of the starting cornerbacks for the Redbirds. He increased his numbers to fifty tackles and three interceptions, including a pick six. The following year, in his junior year, Lip improved his game even more and was even named a defensive captain for the Redbirds. His tackles total increased to sixty-five with five interceptions, one being of the pick six variety again. In Lip's senior season, his final one at ISU, he was heavily called upon on the defensive side of the ball, recording seventy-three tackles and six interceptions, two of which were returned for a touchdown.

DSFL career
Season 27
Lip Gallagher was a waiver wire pick-up for the Minnesota Grey Ducks in Season 27, where he got into one game and recorded no recordable statistics. Although Gallagher did not see much playing time during this season, he engaged in the locker room and enjoyed his experience in Minnesota with the Grey Ducks. Due to his time spent with the Grey Ducks during this season, Lip was expecting that Minnesota may try and snag him in the draft but that did not come to fruition. He was a part of the Season 28 DSFL draft class, where Lip was selected in the second round of the draft, with the 14th overall selection by the Portland Pythons. Gallagher probably could have been a first round talent in the Season 28 DSFL Entry Draft but his agent was not yet well known and thus, Lip dropped down to the second round of that draft class.
Season 28
In Season 28, Lip was a starting cornerback for the Portland Pythons, starting all 14 games, recording 84 tackles while missing just one tackle. He also had an interception that came back for a pick six, thus recording one defensive touchdown and added 21 pass deflections. The Portland Pythons finished Season 28 with a record of 11-3, good for second place in the North division. Portland lost their playoff game 23-17 to the London Royals, Gallagher recording 7 tackles and 2 pass deflections in the loss. It was a fun first full season in the DSFL for Lip who enjoyed getting to know his new teammates in Portland. Gallagher became a constant presence in the Pythons locker room and really enjoyed interacting with his teammates, even if the season did not go 100% as they hoped it would. Following the conclusion of this season, Lip Gallagher was ISFL draft eligible and had to focus his attention on that during the off-season.
Season 29
Gallagher was drafted into the ISFL during the Season 29 ISFL Entry Draft, selected in the first round, third overall selection by the Baltimore Hawks. Lip returned to the Portland Pythons in Season 29, starting all 14 games at cornerback once more and recorded 66 tackles with 3 misses. He increased his interception total to three from one in the previous season but did not record any interceptions that season. Lip forced three fumbles, recovering one of them. He also increased his pass deflection numbers from 21 the previous season up to 26 and helped Portland finish the season with a 7-7 record. That was good for third place in the North division but not good enough for the Pythons to qualify for the playoffs. This would end up being Gallagher's final season in the DSFL before he was called up to the Baltimore Hawks of the ISFL and he finished without a single DSFL playoff win.
ISFL career
In Season 30, Gallagher made his ISFL debut with a rebuilding Baltimore Hawks team. Lip's rookie campaign in the ISFL seen him start at cornerback for the Hawks in all 16 games, putting up 94 tackles, missing just ten tackles in the process and one forced fumble. Gallagher added two interceptions, neither of which went for a defensive touchdown and 28 pass deflections. The Baltimore Hawks finished the season with a 4-12 record, tied for last in the NSFC with the Philadelphia Liberty and the entire league with the San Jose Sabercats, obviously not qualifying for the playoffs.
In Season 31, the Baltimore Hawks were still in the middle of rebuilding the club and matched their previous season record at 4-12, placing last in the NSFC and tied for last place in the entire league with the Orange County Otters. Lip's tackle total dropped a little bit, going from 94 down to 91, one of those being a tackle for a loss and missing only eight tackles. He recovered a pair of fumbles to go along with four interceptions, none of which came back for a defensive touchdown again and 41 pass deflections. Baltimore failed to qualify for the playoffs once more.
In Season 32, Lip Gallagher's third season with the Baltimore Hawks, he increased his tackles total significantly, finishing with 106 in the 16 game season while missing just seven tackles. Gallagher forced a fumble with a fumble recovery and three interceptions. Yet again, Lip failed to record his first career defensive touchdown but recorded 33 pass deflections. The Baltimore Hawks improved their record slightly from the previous season, going 5-11 on the season up from 4-12 the previous season. That placed them in a three way tie for last place in the NSFC with the Chicago Butchers and Yellowknife Wraiths and also finishing ahead of the ASFC's Orange County Otters (3-13) but failed to qualify for the playoffs once more.
In Season 33, the Baltimore Hawks became a very competitive team coming out of their rebuild, finishing with a 11-5 record, just behind the 12-4 Sarasota Sailfish and second place in the NSFC as well as third in the entire league, behind the aforementioned Sarasota Sailfish and the 12-4 Arizona Outlaws. Lip Gallagher posted a career high in tackles with 114 while decreasing his missed tackles to just five on the season. Gallagher forced two fumbles with a fumble recovery, made four interceptions and had pass deflections on the season. Lip recorded his first career ISFL defensive touchdown as he had two pick sixes on the season. The Hawks qualified for the playoffs for the first time in many seasons and made the most of their opportunity, beating the Chicago Butchers 23-14 and then the Sarasota Sailfish 30-24 to earn a trip to the Ultimus. In the Ultimus game, Baltimore came out on top against the Orange County Otters by a score of 41-38.
