Kevin McThumper (born May 8, 2027) is an American football linebacker who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for University of Houston (UH) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Player was born in Gujurat, India in 2027, and moved to Dallas, Texas in 2033. Kevin originally liked to play soccer but fell in love with football due to his 5th grade PE coach. Seeing Kevin's ability, his coach and mentor Mr. Hill introduced Kevin to football. As a 6th grader Kevin made the A team as a RB and had an excelled season. However, due to injuries in the defensive side, Kevin was also forced to play DE. Kevin continued playing both sides of the sports until 8th grade. During the 8th grade homecoming game, Kevin suffered a concussion. Shortly after, Kevin's parents made him focus on school-work and made him quit sports. It wasn't until 10th grade that Kevin secretly tried out without telling his parents. To his suprise he made varsity. However he was asked to play LB as they had a vacant spot, and Kevin's ability made him a good fit. In 10th grade, Kevin led the team in tackling. In 11th grade, on his coach's request Kevin started working more on his coverage skills, and had 15 pass deflected, and 2 interceptions. In his senior year Kevin suffered a major ACL injury which hurt his chances of going to big-name school. Kevin ended his high-school career as a legend at his high-school and a 3-star recruit.

College career

While Kevin had offers from University of Texas, Texas Tech, and A&M, Kevin choose to attend University of Houston as he had establish a good relationship with then coach, Tom Hermann. As a true freshman, Kevin initially struggled to fully recover from his ACL injury and had hard time adjusting to college life. During the first few weeks Kevin looked sub-par in tackling, and coverage, and was benched. After having a heart-felt conversation with his girlfriend, his now-supportive family, and his mentor, Mr. Hill, Kevin renewed his love for football and found a new focus. After winning his spot back in the following weeks, Kevin put on a show during UH vs FSU peach bowl game recording 3 sacks, 8 solo tackles, 3 pass deflections, and 1 game-winning interception. Continuing his trend, Kevin started gaining some traction from General Managers and was projected to be a 5-6th round pick. Knowing he could do better, Kevin returned to UH under Coach Hermann. Kevin was a dominant force to be reckoned with in his Sophomore year, leading the team in sacks and tackles. Kevin ended the year by winning The Butkus Award, the top award for LB. However during his pro-day, Kevin suffered another knee injury. The extent of the injury hasn't been revealed but is sure to impact his draft stock this upcoming draft.

Professional career statistics

With 2 weeks left in the season and with the playoffs on the line, the Bondi Beach Buccaneers picked up McThumper from the waivers. While he was picked up it was too late for the Buccaneers to start him in the next game the day after, hence he was a healthy scratch. However, Kevin could be seen on the sidelines, cheering on his peers. That week during practice, Kevin greatly improved his speed and put in overtime with the LB coach to end up starting the season finale in a "win it and you're in" type of game. Kevin started the entire game and played a good chunk of the game thanks to his endurance. Even though the Buccaneers would end up dropping the game, Kevin had a great start to his career recording 7 tackles, and 1 pass deflection in a critical 3rd down. During the offseason, Kevin was scouted by 7 out of the 8 teams, and was one of the top 3 LBs in his class.
