Keanu Calhoun (born November 11, 2034) is an American football wide receiver who is currently a wide receiver for the New Orleans Second Line. He played college football for University of Florida (UF) and played for the Dallas Birddogs in the DSFL.

Early years

Keanu Calhoun was born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, but his football career wouldn't start till much after his birth. Keanu had always been quick, always winning any races he'd have at school. But this never would translate to any sport for Calhoun and he went through most of high school just doing track. Calhoun was an incredible track athlete, breaking school records left and right, and by his junior year of high school, Calhoun already had many D1 offers to run for schools. However, after the junior season of track, Calhoun was offered a starting spot at WR on the football team by the football coach after they saw how physically talented he was. Calhoun eventually accepted, not expecting much to happen from it. However, this is when Keanu Calhoun's proffessional career would truly start. In his senior year of high school, the coach had Calhoun playing every position, as he was truly the most talented athlete at the school. Out of wildcat, in at RB, or outwide, at CB, at S, you name it, Calhoun played it. He was able to secure the Gatorade Georgia Football Player of the Year award in his first year in the sport, and this caused Calhoun to get D1 offers, before eventually declaring for the University of Florida to be their future WR1.

College career

As a true freshman, Calhoun was given very little playing time, and UF decided to redshirt him and refine his skills, as with only one year of high school experience, Calhoun was a very raw prospect at WR. During his sophomore season, Calhoun found his way onto the depth chart, racking up over 500 receiving yards and being the team's starting kick and punt returner due to his incredible speed and elusiveness from his track days. The junior season went much better for Calhoun, and this is truly when DSFL and ISFL scouts saw the potential of Calhoun. He amassed over 1000 receiving yards, as well as receiving All-American at returner. Calhoun's senior year (3'rd football year due to redshirt) was the final dagger into making him seem like an elite prospect. Calhoun terrorized defenses all year, simply being too fast to cover, amasssing over 1600 receiving yards, another All-American at returner as well as receiver, and to put the final cherry on top Florida was able to win the National Championship en route a 31-17 win over USC. After this amazing season, Calhoun decided his stock was high enough, and entered his name into the DSFL draft

Dallas Waiver Season (S40)

Keanu Calhoun would be enter the DSFL at the trade deadline, giving himself the most time possible to improve through working with teams and build up his repertoire with DSFL and ISFL teams. Calhoun would be picked up by the Dallas Birddogs during the end of the S40 season. Dallas was not having a great season, and surprisingly, Calhoun's water-boy duties were able to improve Dallas's record. Dallas would finish the season winning three out of the last four, leaving hope towards the next season. However, due to issues getting put into the lineup, Keanu was unable to make an impact, and unfortunately, would get no playing time as a DSFL waiver pickup, leaving scouts questioning the true prowess Calhoun can show as a player.

Dallas Rookie Season

Keanu Calhoun would wound up getting drafted back to the team he spent waivers on, the Dallas birddogs. Despite not getting any playing time last season, Dallas GMs and scouts were able to recognize Calhoun's natural talent, and made sure to put that to work as the season progressed. Dallas had 3 amazing receivers in s40, and all three would no longer be holding down the Dallas WR spot, with two getting called up to the ISFL, and Wolfie moving to QB to throw to Calhoun, as well as his S42 WR partner in crime, Octavion Speedings. Unfortunately, Dallas would once again miss the playoffs, this time having an even worse record of 2-11-1. Keanu Calhoun however, would have a fantastic rookie season, including a game where he caught three touchdowns. Calhoun would finish with over 1200 yards and 9 TDs, likely earning himself a pro bowl nod, and heavily improving his draft stock from the late ranks of the 3th round where he was drafted to Dallas.
