Josh Gibson (born January 3, 2037) is an American football safety for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Josh Gibson grew up as an aspiring Australian Rules football player, in his early years he had nothing to do with the game of American Football or Gridion which would see him pick up his life and move to the States later in his life. While he wasn't playing American Football he was training skills that would help him in his future career, playing junior football Gibson was never the greatest athlete - rather he had to learn the art of reading a ball in flight and the skill of when to come up and directly influence a contest and when he should hang back. As he grew older his physical abilities started to flourish, his skills of reading the ball were made a lot more effective when he suddenly had elite closing speed and an outstanding vertical jump. These were the skills that he learnt that set the base for the ISFL player he would become.

College career

Gibson never attended a university, as is the norm in Australia he was drafted to the Australian Football League (AFL) straight out of High School. In the AFL he struggled to live up to his billing as a top talent, struggling at North Melbourne to break into the first team he played sporadically over the first three years of his career. When he did get game time he showed his strengths in reading the ball and could impact the game at times, at other times he felt lost out on the field. The coaches gameplan was built on man on man defending, this wasn't Gibson's strong suit this led to him falling out favour with the coaching staff and eventually leaving the team. At 21 he was left teamless and unsure if he would be able to continue pursuing his dream, at this stage he saw the ISFL and decided to try and bring his skills to the Safety position. Perhaps in a different universe a team reaches out to him and he becomes a champion player in the AFL.
