After an ACL injury derailed his Senior year, Ohio State retracted their scholarship offer. Dre Uzond took a position at Eastern Washington University. He lost his entire freshman year due to a medical redshirt from his ACl injury. The following year, as a redshirt freshman year he had a very poor outting, his coach Rion Phaelgerry believed that he hadn't fully come back from his knee injury. He did poor in practice, and never started a game. His Sophomore year, he bounced back, winning the Devin Wonlin Award for best DB in the FCS.
