Charlie Thorsen (born October 24, 2029) is an American football cornerback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Notre Dame (ND) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Born in Lincoln, NE to Arthur and Molly, Charlie Thorsen was involved in athletic pursuits from an early age. Believing in a healthy lifestyle, the Thorsen family all competed in various events. Arthur was a simple man and spent most of his time running. 5K runs, 10K runs, and even Marathons, were a common weekend activity for Charlie and his father. Charlie's mother was much more organized, playing keeper for a local rec soccer league which she brought Charlie to for practices and matches. The family moved from Lincoln to Fremont once Charlie showed some promise so that he could attend Archbishop Bergan, one of the best schools in the state.

Identified as a three-star prospect very shortly after his two interception High School debut, Thorsen was approached by multiple different college programs. He had visited Indiana once as a child and had fond memories of the trip and ultimately decided to accept a scholarship away from his home state.

College career

Thorsen accepted an offer to play football for Notre Dame. As a freshman, Thorsen played in 13 games and started 7 of them. He lead all true freshman with 4 interceptions including a clutch pick six to seal the victory for the school's first bowl game win in several seasons.

His second season with the Fighting Irish proved troublesome. Poised to be a breakout starter, Thorsen broke his arm after only four games. After recovering he made it back in time to join the team to help guarantee another trip to a bowl game. Unfortunately, this time they were unable to win after allowing a last second field goal.

After a successful offseason of training, Thorsen came back stronger than ever and managed to start all 12 games in the season. The team did not manage to reach another bowl game, however, Thorsen's personal stat line was enough that he was convinced to declare for the upcoming DSFL draft.
