After 4 years of surprising success at the high school level, offers were shockingly slow at coming in to play at college. For whatever reason, be it the need for a warmer climate, the desire to stay near his hometown, or his request that the team lt him have his own locker room because of his strong embarrasment of being seen nude, there were almost no full rides on the kitchen table when the time came to commit. There was one offer however and, almost dissapointingly, it came not from his ability to play football, but from his history has a spokesman. GEICO had a partnership with the local college Howard University, and had pulled some strings to give him an offer to play football. ====Minnesota Rookie Year (S47)====
 +
Caleb TheGEICOCamel just finished his first season within the DSFL and it was, by all accounts, rather unremarkable.
 +
That isn’t exactly surprising. A few factors, his late start post-ultimus, the overall talent on Minnesota, the fact that 3 corners were taken in total including himself in his draft class, all combined to him not seeing the field as much as he might’ve liked. In total he finished the year with:
 +
23 Tackles
 +
1 Sack
 +
6 Pass Deflections
 +
And on special teams:
 +
1 Kick Return
 +
2 Kick Return Yards
 +
16 Punt Returns
 +
88 Punt Return Yards
 +
Technically he only officially started 6 games out of the 14 so the sparse stats aren’t shocking. Hopefully when he starts his second DSFL season at the 250 DSFL cap, we will see him get more starting time.
 +
 +
He did pick up another 3 tackles and a pass deflection in the 28-27 playoff loss to the eventual DSFL Ultimini champion Portland Pythons. His best game by far was week 12 in the 22-14 loss to Portland once again where he racked up a third of his pass deflections with 2 and picked up a tackle. While he won’t win any awards for his performance this season, hopefully this is just the start of something great.

Almost every single team in the league has reached out to Caleb to talk about possibly picking him up in the draft so obviously these teams know that there is greater potential in him than what he showed on the field in his first season

Caleb theGEICOCamel (born May 1, 2013) is an American football cornerback who is currently preparing to enter the professional ranks. He played college football for Howard University (HOW) and has declared his intent to enter the professional ranks next season.

Early years

Caleb was living the life of your average Camel, going to high school and starring in nationally televised commercials. One day, when the checks from the airing of the commercial had stopped comming in, Caleb had an idea. Technically, within the rules of football, there was no clause that prevented a Camel from competing on the field. In fact, should he show enough talent in High School, and then in college, he knew vaguely of a league called the ISFL which had seen all manner of players from eldritch horrors to conscious shapes. After all that, who was going to say a word against the legality of a Camel playing professional football? On the first day of tryouts, he wasn't sure what position would be best. Offense was largely out, as his hooves made handling the football or blocking all but impossible. Defensive Line or linebacker were tricky for the reason that tackling came very difficult to the camel, with no ability to wrap up. Finally, the secondary seemed like a natural fit, as he could move quickly and deflect the football when it came his was with his natural size.

College career

After 4 years of surprising success at the high school level, offers were shockingly slow at coming in to play at college. For whatever reason, be it the need for a warmer climate, the desire to stay near his hometown, or his request that the team lt him have his own locker room because of his strong embarrasment of being seen nude, there were almost no full rides on the kitchen table when the time came to commit. There was one offer however and, almost dissapointingly, it came not from his ability to play football, but from his history has a spokesman. GEICO had a partnership with the local college Howard University, and had pulled some strings to give him an offer to play football. Over the next 4 seasons, Caleb proved to be a much better player than any had imagined. While Howard Uni never found much success in the wider CFB, Caleb more than proved his worth on the field.
