Brian Mills (born December 1, 1996) is an American football linebacker for the New Orleans Second Line of the National Simulation Football League (NSFL). He played college football for North Carolina (NC) before being drafted by the New Orleans Second Line in the 2021 ISFL Draft (S6). Prior to this, he had been drafted by the Tijuana Luchadores in the 2020 DSFL Draft (S5).

Early years

Brian Mills was born and raised in the Windsor, ON area. Growing up, he was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears NFL team. He idolized players like Brian Urlacher and Ray Lewis, and decided he was going to be a professional linebacker one day

College career

When Brian turned 18, he had not been offered any scholorships, and was contemplating playing for the University of Windsor. Although Brian did not want to play for the CFL, he decided that he was going to make the best of it and get his education. After a year at U of W, he was noticed by scouts at North Carolina, and was offered a full ride scholorship to a Division 1 school. In North Carolina, he decided that he was going to pursue a pro career in football.

Professional career

DSFL career

While not the top Linebacker prospect in the S5 DSFL draft, Brian Mills was arguably the most determined player. Being picked behind 2 other Linebackers gave him the chip on his shoulder that he needed to be successful in the DSFL. He was paired with fellow rookie Linebacker Elvin Enchant, and together, along with star prospect DT Bogdan Wojcik, they turned the Luchadores into a fierce team. The Tijuana Luchadores led the league in Interceptions, PD's, and Defensive Touchdowns in the S5 season. Halfway through the season, there was a coaching vacancy in the team, and Brian applied for the job, and eventually became the sole Head Coach for the Luchadores in S7, before stepping down in S8 due to scheduling conflicts with the NSFL.

NSFL S6 Draft Combine

After making a DSFL record 142 tackles for the Luchadores in the S5 season, Brian caught the attention of many scouts in the NSFL. Brian was approached by the newly rebranded New Orleans Second Line general manager Bovovovo, and was ultimately drafted first overall in the S6 NSFL draft. Brian knew he was going to be part of a rebuilding team, so he did everything he could to grow into the player that they would need in a few seasons when they would finally be Ultimus contenders. Playing beside long time veteran Wallace Stone helped Brian in his rookie year, but the biggest help came when NOLA GM Bovovovo traded for linebackers Julian O'Sullivan and Vincent Sharpei. Learning how to play linebacker behind these seasoned veterans gave Brian the experience he needed to become a great linebacker. Brian celebrated an Ultimus win with New Orleans in the S9 season, when the Second Line defeated the Baltimore Hawks.
