Anthony Tony Scaletta (born January 8, 2041) is an American football linebacker for the Minnesota Grey Ducks of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Anthony "Tony" Scaletta was born to famous Italian League of Football player, Giovanni Scalletta on August 25, 2042. From a young age, Tony was interested in the game of football and the excitement that it brought. His father would take him to many games for the Syracuse football team in hopes that Tony would pick up the position of quarterback just like him. However, it was quickly apparent that Tony had a knack for tackling whenever he would play with his siblings. Tony began his football playing in youth football camps in Italy to become an Iron Man player across the field before recognizing his true strength on the defensive side of the ball. His first years of football were spent playing anything from Defensive End to a Safety until his move to America at the age of 16. There he would fall in love with the Linebacker position that combined his favorite parts of the defense.

College career

Not the highest rated prospect when he started high school football, Tony Scaletta would receive offers from small schools around the New England area. His two stars granted him a chance to play for the Long Island University Sharks, a school he picked over Fordham or Buffalo. At LIU, Tony would have to wait two seasons before getting his starting role on the defense. He served as the team's backup tight end in the mean time before coming in for an injured OLB in the team's second round matchup of the 2058 FCS Playoffs. Although the team would lose at the hands of Lindenwood, the coaches realized the potential that Scaletta had on the defensive side. That offseason he made the switch to Linebacker. His last two season with the Sharks proved the switch to be a match made in heaven. Scaletta would finish in second place for the Buck Buchanan Award (Top FCS Defensive Player) in his first season at the position before managing to win it in his final season with the team. After the encouragement from his father, he would enter the ISFL draft instead of returning home to play football in his home country of Italy.
