Anthony "Tony" Scaletta was born to famous Italian League of Football player, Giovanni Scalletta on August 25, 2042. From a young age, Tony was interested in the game of football and the excitement that it brought. His father would take him to many games for the Syracuse football team in hopes that Tony would pick up the position of quarterback just like him. However, it was quickly apparent that Tony had a knack for tackling whenever he would play with his siblings. Tony began his football playing in youth football camps in Italy to become an Iron Man player across the field before recognizing his true strength on the defensive side of the ball. His first years of football were spent playing anything from Defensive End to a Safety until his move to America at the age of 16. There he would fall in love with the Linebacker position that combined his favorite parts of the defense.

Not the highest rated prospect when he started high school football, Tony Scaletta would receive offers from small schools around the New England area. His two stars granted him a chance to play for the Long Island University Sharks, a school he picked over Fordham or Buffalo. At LIU, Tony would have to wait two seasons before getting his starting role on the defense. He served as the team's backup tight end in the mean time before coming in for an injured OLB in the team's second round matchup of the 2058 FCS Playoffs. Although the team would lose at the hands of Lindenwood, the coaches realized the potential that Scaletta had on the defensive side. That offseason he made the switch to Linebacker. His last two season with the Sharks proved the switch to be a match made in heaven. Scaletta would finish in second place for the Buck Buchanan Award (Top FCS Defensive Player) in his first season at the position before managing to win it in his final season with the team. After the encouragement from his father, he would enter the ISFL draft instead of returning home to play football in his home country of Italy.

After being drafted in the 4th round, Tony Scaletta started off his career in the ISFL in the developmental league for the Minnesota Grey Ducks by playing at defensive end. His star power as an edge rusher quickly began to show as he dominated off of snap with tackles all over the field. Utilizing his former tight end speed, Scaletta was able to consistently play at a top level. Throughout the season he remained a dedicated rookie to improving along the defensive front seven along with a young roster full of future stars. The team managed to make it to the DSFL Playoffs where some of the youth for the Italian player really began to show. Where he had been strong against most teams in the division, the London Royals proved to be both Scaletta’s and Minnesota’s greatest kryptonite. Scaletta was interested in his draft stock after the season given his lack of showing at awards night and little preseason hype, which led to him cutting off weight as quickly as he could to increase the positions that he could play for teams that had greater needs.

Unfortunately for Scaletta, his attempt to make himself seem much more open to teams in the S47 draft still kept him out of the first round. He would instead be taken late in the second round by the Yellowknife Wraiths in order to play at safety for the hopeful ISFL team. They would not call him up right away which allowed Scaletta to serve as the veteran now for the Grey Ducks back in Minnesota. This time he would be playing a new position. Unlike his pure strength as an edge defender though, Scaletta had to learn to operate with much more finesse than before. He became accustomed well to his new position early in Week 1 by getting both three pass breakups and a sack against the Kansas City Coyotes. In S47, he was able to become one of the best safeties in the DSFL. He led all free safeties in tackles, forced fumbles, sacks, and passes defended. He did not make an appearance still on awards night which kept him from pulling much excitement regardless from outside of Minnesota. After the season, Tony Scaletta decided to take the offer to move up from the Grey Ducks to the Wraiths which officially put him in the ISFL. He put in enough work to make himself the starting free safety in the ISFL.

Anthony Tony Scaletta (born January 8, 2041) is an American football safety for the Yellowknife Wraiths of the International Simulation Football League (ISFL).

Early years

College career

Not the highest rated prospect when he started high school football, Tony Scaletta would receive offers from small schools around the New England area. His two stars granted him a chance to play for the Long Island University Sharks, a school he picked over Fordham or Buffalo. At LIU, Tony would have to wait two seasons before getting his starting role on the defense. After the encouragement from his father, he would enter the ISFL draft instead of returning home to play football in his home country of Italy.
