Anakin Skywalker (born November 5, 2037) is an American football wide receiver for the Kansas City Coyotes of the Developmental Simulation Football League (DSFL).

Early years

Anakin was born on Tatooine to Shmi Skywalker, a slave. His father is unknown, but some rumors have swirled that Anakin was the product of immaculate conception, with some Jedi pointing toward Midi-chlorians as being responsible. Most of his childhood was spent working for Watto, a cruel slaver who also owned his mother. Despite his rough upbringing, Skywalker remained vigilante and occupied himself with various hobbies, namely podracing and building and fixing droids and other appliances. His fortune was changed when Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his young padawan learner Obi-Wan Kenobi visited his home world. Jinn, who recognized Anakin as being force sensitive was drawn to the boy. Qui-Gon would soon declare the boy to be the Chosen One, a prophesized being who would restore balance to the force. Jinn would wager a deal with Watto for the boy's freedom, should the boy win in an upcoming podrace. The boy would win, and Watto released the child to the two Jedi.

College career

As a Jedi padawan, Anakin saw the beginning of the Clone Wars, after being rescued, along with Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala, by Mace Windu and the Jedi Order. As a Jedi Knight, General Skywalker was a fierce warrior and led many successful campaigns during the Clone Wars. The cost of war was brutal, but it afforded the young Jedi Knight the opportunity to travel beyond the outer rim, where he would eventually find himself navigating through the Milky Way Galaxy. Despite being from a galaxy far, far away, Earth seemed to be comprable to many of the planets and systems known to the Jedi Order. Skywalker spent enough time on Earth to learn the planet's various cultures, customs, and activities. One such activity that captured Skywalker's attention was American football. This discovery would be life-altering for the Jedi, as his need to prove himself made the idea of a career in professional football nearly impossible to ignore.

Professional career

DSFL career

(S42) While serving in the Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalker visited the earth and discovered the ISFL. He would agree to become a football player, signing with the Kansas City Coyotes of the DSFL as a wide receiver. His rookie season saw the Coyotes make the playoffs, after being crowned as Ultimini champions the season prior. Skywalker enjoyed a productive first year, catching 6 touchdowns along with over 800 receiving yards. Despite a slow start, Skywalker would become an impact player for the Coyotes as he seemed to have a nose for the endzone, highlighted by a mid-season game-winning touchdown catch against the Bondi Beach Buccaneers with under two minutes left to play. Skywalker had more strong showings over the course of his rookie season. While not garnering much awards season hype, the production was encouraging for the first-year player, especially since he was a pre-season waiver wire signing. A late-season push secured the Coyotes a playoff position. Skywalker's Coyotes were eliminated by the Minnesota Grey Ducks in the conference championship game, but the rookie secured a spot in that year's DSFL Pro Bowl Game.

After signing with the Kansas City Coyotes as a post-draft waiver selection, Skywalker declared himself elligible for the S43 ISFL Draft. Early on, teams expressed interest in the young Jedi, with some mock drafts projecting Skywalker as a potential first-round draft choice. This type of attention made the Jedi knight swell with pride, a feeling his masters and fellow knights of the Jedi Order would have cautioned against. In the S43 ISFL draft, the Baltimore Hawks would select Skywalker with the fifteenth overall pick, the first of the second round. The Hawks had previously traded down from the twelfth pick, netting picks 15 and 20; with Tunkha Danstrol being taken with the 20th pick. The move was seen as a savvy one, with Baltimore filling out their roster with multiple picks in the middle of the draft, with Bertie Mannering-Phipps being picked right after. With the selection of Sam Mercury at 29th, Baltimore had solidified their future. Shortly after the draft, Skywalker signed a 3-year $3 million contract with Baltimore, with the decision to send him down to Kansas City for another year.
