Aleksandr Milescu (born October 3, 2002) is an American football safety for the Royals. He played college football for Towson (TU).

Early years

Born in Baltimore Maryland to a working class immigrant family. Grew up around the waterfront, as his father worked the docks and his mother became a teacher at a local grade school. Many hours of childhood were spend playing with other kids in the streets- soccer, hockey, etc.. but football is really what captured his attention. Like most kids playing street ball Milescu started off as more of a general athlete, playing both offense and defense. His quickness off the line led him to catch a lot of deep passes with his friends, and utimately led to Milescu originally being slated as wide receiver in high school. Due to the school's lack of solid defensive players, however, he was moved to safety his first year on the jv squad. Surpsing himself, he excelled at that position more so than offense, and quickly developed a love of the position and fighting to beat the receivers to the balls in flight. His high school was nothing special by football means, but as a local standout safety he was recruited by Towson University.

College career

As a freshman did not see much play, often only seeing the field during 4th quarter leads (which at Towson, was not often). Softmore year Milescu was 3rd on the depth chart and started seeing some regular play in the second half, recording his first college interception, which, unfortunately, ended up being his only of the year. His football IQ, however, and recognition of offensive lineups continued to grow and by junior year he was the first string FS, recording a much more impressive 5 interceptions that season. Milescu played his senior year before declaring for the draft. He kept up pace at FS, recording another 6 intereceptions. During his time at Towson, Milescu was regarded as a ball hawk safety, quick to snap to a receiver's route based on his read of the offense. More often than not this intuition led him to break up deep passes and keep quarterbacks giving him a second glance before passing.

2049 Season

Milescu was picked up off waivers by the Royals 2 weeks before the end of the season. Luckily due to a lack of serviceable safeties on the team, he was able to join the starting lineup right away and lined up at FS for two games. Despite only having the flight to London as time to get familiar with their playbook, he was able to record 1 sack, 1 PD, and 9 tackles in his first (and last) two games of the 2049 season. During an interview Milescu told a reporter it was his goal to use these last weeks to of the season to showcase his talents to scouts for the following year, adding that he was confident he'd land a more permanent role at Safety whether in London or on another team during the draft. He clicked with the team well, even earning a weekly Crown award in week 13 where he accumulated 5 tackles. While in London Milescu never actually found a permanent place to live, instead just couch surfing week to week while waiting to see where he landed during the offseason.

2050 Season

Milescu was drafted 2nd round, 10th pick overall by Royals.
